Rugged, Matte Black Finish

The sturdy steel construction is protected with a matte black finish for added durability. This unique powder coating gives etrailer hitches a carbide-like appearance and a rugged look that sets them apart from traditional glossy hitches. In addition to being rust and corrosion resistant, the tough matte coating hides dirt, scuffs, and dings better than a glossy finish.

Very easy to install. I took it to my local repair shop and they installed it in 39 minutes.
I have a 2012 Buick Enclave and unfortunately the cover would not fit back on the bumper. Not a big deal because I plan on using the receiver a lot and removing the bumper cover will be one less step to put my bike rack on my car.

I am extremely satisfied with the hitch, I use it for my bike carrier. I am sure that it would be just as easy to install a ball mount to use it for a trailer. Another plus is it fits behind my 2017 Traverse facia plate so its not visible.

2013 Chevrolet Traverse

I ordered a trailer hitch for my 2013 Traverse. The product was delivered on time. The quality of the product is top notch and the installation was a breeze as guided by the easy to follow instructions. But most of all, the customer service provided by etrailer was amazing. The staff is knowledgeable and go to all lengths to ensure you receive the correct hitch/accesspries for your vehicle. Great product and company and I highly recommend them.

2011 Buick Enclave

The eTrailer hitch went in like a charm, a quality product at a great price and the support from etrailer is awesome. As a novice, it took a bit longer to install than expected and the plastic cover plate could not be reinstalled to hide the hitch, no worries. The entire experience from purchase to finished install was awesome.

This company was wonderful to work with! No problem with the install or the hitch. Everything was included and lined up perfectly. Fantastic and will order from here again.

I have responded directly to the first person who reached out to me. I will send you the exact same thing, just so you are aware. Thank you.

Thank you for reaching out! As a business owner myself, I feel it would be more beneficial for me to reach out directly rather than writing a displeased review.

I wanted to start with the positives,
•The integrity of the hitch seems to be very well made!
•The timeliness of shipping/handling etc was great. Very expedited and kept me in the loop.
•The install was a breeze and the videos helped tremendously!

The not so good:
I will attach a picture of how the product showed up to my door. I know that 3rd party shipping companies are liable for handling, but the hitch was 1/4 out of the box when it showed up in my driveway. Inside the box, there was no padding, tie downs, etc.

As a result of the hitch being outside of the box, there were multiple scratches/dings. Obviously, the aesthetics do not bother me near as much as knowing that it may rust earlier than the rest of the hitch. One plans on it being shipped, installed, then use. Unfortunately, I had to put a little elbow grease in myself to ensure the integrity of the rust resistant hitch is not compromised.

With that being said, again, I just wanted to let you know directly from a consumer rather than write a bad review online.

Delivered on the date it was promised, and installed the following day. I have used etrailer.com in the past and will again in the future. The Installation video was critical to being able to get this installed properly. I love that etrailer.com has all the parts you need, and they show you how to install them!

Bolted in cleanly and completely hides behind the stock bumper on our '17 Chevy Traverse. I only wish it had a place to mount the connector.

Happy with product and installation.

Etrailer does it again! Always timely delivery, always a great fit, and always ways to make putting the hitch on easy. Thanks for the wires to pull the carriage bolts through the frame and the nice instructions (including video for my vehicle type). When I need some hitch parts this is the place. Hitch and wiring purchased for 2012 Buick Enclave.

Easiest trailer hitch I have ever installed. I was a little skeptical of doing it myself. It was easy and was able to use it in no time.

Submitted the update. Great product, thanks for the followup. I ended up getting a second hitch to go on my wife's SUV so I could move the bike rack over to use on family trips.

Working perfectly! My wife was worried that she would have some big ugly hitch on her vehicle, but its completely hidden behind the bumper fascia. Just pop off the access panel when I need the hitch, but otherwise it disappears.

2013 Buick Enclave

I ordered this hitch receiver for my 2013 Buick Enclave to be mostly used for carrying multiple mountain bikes. The hitch arrived a few days earlier than expected which was a pleasant surprise. Very fast shipping. I got to installing it right away; the fit was perfect and the installation was...tricky.

I backed my vehicle up onto ramps which gave me plenty of room to work underneath. I removed the rear fascia covering. I sprayed the rubber supports which hold the exhaust in order to lower the dual exhaust pipes. With a bit of "back and forth" on the four supports I was able to release the supports and lower each pipe.

I first installed the two center bolts which went in with no problems. My vehicle does not have existing threaded bolts for the center attachments, so I used the "hook and pull" method as shown in the video to guide the bolts and the locking rectangular supports through the bumper to the existing holes. This was relatively effortless, but it would have helped if the wire guides supplied with the hitch were 12 inches longer. Placing the hitch in its proper position with the help of my daughter, I initially secured the hitch with the center bolts to then attach the four side bolts. Previously, I ordered the suggested nylon brush to clean out the existing threads under my car. I cleaned the threads out as directed in the video but, as it turned out, the cleaning needed to be much more extensive than I realized. After struggling to hand ratchet in the bolts I gave up and left the hitch bolted with only the two center bolts. I watched the video again and I noticed the installer in the video used a battery powered ratchet. Ah hah! To the hardware store I went to buy my own lithium ratchet. I figured it would come in handy to own this tool.

With my brand new ratchet charged and ready I went back to the task at hand. I liberally sprayed WD-40 in the holes and aggressively used the nylon brush on all four threaded holes under the vehicle. Then I eagerly attempted to use the power of the ratchet to finish the job. Well, shoot...the ratchet is too long. I then lowered the spare tire to get to the bolts and use my lithium ratchet. Well, even with my ratchet that has rated torque of 35ft-lbs, it couldn't get past the accumulated filth mucking up the threads, it would stall without cinching the bolts tightly against the washers. So, I then just used the lithium ratchet to pull the bolt "back and forth" (or up and down) which in theory would loosen the compressed and hardened thread blockage, and the bolts should go all the way in snug against the hitch. That worked! Whew. Finally. I then snugged and torqued all six bolts appropriately, buttoned up the exhausts, re-installed the fascia and it looks wonderful. Now I'm ready to go mountain biking again. Yay! Thanks etrailer!

It wasn’t that hard to put on and everything was in the box that I needed to do the job. Thank you very much.

2014 GMC Acadia

I ordered on Tuesday and the hitch arrived on Thursday morning. I was shocked.
I installed the hitch on my wife's 2014 Acadia with dual exhaust. I did it by myself and did not have to drop the exhaust. It took about an hour, working at a relaxed pace. One of the fish wires gave me a lot of trouble and the other went right in. I did need to grind the rectangular hole to fit the carriage bolt in. I used a drill with a rasp bit. A die grinder or file would work as well. It was very little that needed to be ground down.
The hitch looks great. The original cover fit like it should. The hitch does not impede it at all. I had some black semi gloss Rustoleum in the cabinet and painted all of the bolts.
We plan to use it for a bike rack, initially. Eventually we plan to purchase a small RV (4000 lbs or so), install a wiring kit, a transmission cooler, and a tow switch. I am confident this hitch will do the job.

by:
2017 Chevrolet Traverse

Install was very easy even by myself. Definitely had to remove 3 of the exhaust hangers and drop the muffle down onto a jack stand to get access to the bolts on the passenger side but that was not difficult. The fish wires for the center bolts worked great. Only trouble I had was cleaning out the holes on the drivers side. It took a lot of WD40 and an old brush to clean the holes out until I could get hit wbolts to thread all the way in. My wife is very excited to get the bike carrier installed and loaded up. Would definitely recommend this to others.

by:

Everything worked well and only took me about 45 minutes to install not counting watching the video which I did before purchasing. Very solid steel frame. I am primarily using it for bike rack and small trailers. The wire that comes in the kit to pull the carriage bolt and washer through the tube was awesome. I did have to jiggle it a little bit at first to get it to slide through.

by:
GMC Acadia

It installed it on my gmc acadia perfectly and was quick and simple.a second set of hands to hold it briefly while threading bolts is helpful.
