Take some of the hassle out of towing your car with this fuse bypass system. FuseMaster replaces 2 of your vehicle's ATC/ATO fuses and lets you prep for towing by simply flipping a switch. Integrated holders keep fuses secure and functional.

Features:

  • Bypasses towed car's ATC/ATO blade-style fuses so you can tow your vehicle without draining its battery
    • Provides a simple alternative to removing fuses every time you tow
    • Stores fuses so that you won't lose them
  • Installs quickly, easily and permanently
    • Remove fuses from car's battery compartment and install FuseMaster in their place
    • Put fuses into FuseMaster fuse holders
    • Mount bypass switch in center console
  • Maintains functionality of fuse when switched on
    • Flip switch to "Drive" position and drive like normal
  • Overrides fuse when switched off
    • Flip switch to "Tow" position and you're good to tow
  • Application: ATC/ATO blade-style fuses rated at 20 amps
  • Made in the USA

Some cars can be towed only if you get under the hood and pull a fuse or fuses. If you don't remove these fuses before towing, there's a good chance that your battery will be drained by the time you reach your destination.

Roadmaster's FuseMaster makes it easy to prep your vehicle for towing. Simply remove the fuses indicated in your owner's manual and replace them with the bypass. The system will hold the removed fuses and maintain their functionality. So, once the initial installation is complete, you don't have to remove or replace your fuses again.

Whenever you want to drive your car, just make sure the switch on the bypass is flipped into the "Drive" position. When the bypass system is on, the fuse will be active and your vehicle will function normally. Then, when it comes time to tow, switch the FuseMaster to "Tow." Doing this will render the fuse inactive so that you can flat tow your car without its battery being drained.

Installation

This bypass installs inside your vehicle's battery compartment, which is located beneath the rear passenger's-side seat. To mount the FuseMaster switch, route the harness up to your center console. You will have to drill access holes in the console to run the FuseMaster through and to mount the switch.

Roadmaster FuseMaster Switch

Included with the FuseMaster are 2 stickers: "Drive" and "Tow." Once the switch is installed, you can place the stickers on your console - one on each side of the toggle - to remind you which way the switch must go for each application. Place the "Drive" sticker on the side of the toggle that has the white dot. (To drive your car, the switch must be flipped so that the side with the white dot is depressed.) The "Tow" sticker can then be placed on the opposite side.

Makes towing easier.
trailer is the
best

by:

Package was delivered quickly. Very good customer service from e-trailer.

by:

This switch was perfect solution for the problem of having to tear apart my floor in a 2014 Chevy Traverse everytime I would have to pull the battery fuse. Easy to mount and part was good quality.

by:

The item was correct and delivered promptly. My only complaint, not the fault of e-Trailer, is it was defective. A spade connector in one of the two fuse holders was out place in the socket. (Buried too deep on the molded rubber) Did not realize it until after it was installed and did not want to tear it out. Will replace fuse holder in lieu of the hassle of sending it back for a replacement.

Ordering and shipping was fast and easy. Products arrived in good condition. I haven't installed them yet, but it all looks as advertised. Not my first order with etrailer and the customer service was outstanding as always. Why anyone would order from any place other then etrailer I cannot fathom.

by:

Roadsters product worked well. I did not remove the lower dash part, and just did extreme yoga to remove and install the fuse bypass. This was the worst part. I can't believe that Honda put this fuse block in such a difficult to access location. The rest was simple. Installing the small connectors was a trick, (I also didn't use the fuse connector) but I finally got the connections in the fuse block. Drilled the hole from the outside and installed the switch. The location could have been lower and more to the left as there was a thicket portion of the dash on the back that prevented the lock nut from seating, but the switch is tight and works well. This is absolutely the way to go instead of pulling a fuse on my 2014 Honda CRV!

by:

Very easy to install in my gmc 2013 terrain. Took 5 minutes. Hardest part was drilling hole in fuse box cover. I did not have a 3/4" drill bit so has to drill out edges it largest bit I had. Was fine doing this was. Is expensive for what you get, a fuse holder ,switch, plug in and wires?

by:

I installed the Fusemaster fuse bypass switch on my 2012 Chevy Sonic. Install was a snap. It is mounted on the lower dash to the left of the steering wheel and above the fuse panel. I had to cut the fuse cap off and remove the wire loom to get the plastic nut off the switch. The fusemaster switch will be a great time and effort saver since the DLIS fuse on the Sonic is a pain to remove.

DOes the job.

  • Recommended Flat Towing Equipment For A 2017 Chevy Traverse
The first thing to check when you're wanting to flat tow your vehicle is your owners manual. There will be a sectional usually labeled as "Recreational Towing" that will state if your vehicle is able to be flat towed and what steps have to be followed to ensure the safety of your vehicle. You'll need a tow bar, tow bar wiring kit, base plate, braking system, and safety cables. I have the following recommendations for you below: Tow Bar: Roadmaster Falcon All Terrain, Non-Binding Tow Bar...

The RoadMaster BlackHawk 2 All Terrain Combo Towing Kit - 10,000 lbs # RM-9243-3 and the Falcon tow bar will be similar to the # RM-520 or Falcon 2 # RM-525 and will work well. There is no reason why these cannot be used on your 2014 Chevy Traverse LTZ. For your base plates, I recommend the Roadmaster EZ4 Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms # 523175-4. This is a custom fit for your vehicle and will work well with the tow bar. There are some additional wiring switches you will want with...

I took a look at the online owner's manual for your 2014 GMC Acadia. It states if the vehicle is either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, it can be flat towed with all 4 wheels on the ground. I just recommend verifying this information in your copy of the owner's manual, as it's possible that you have a slightly different model Acadia. The owner's manual will also detail the correct procedures and steps to take before heading out on your trip. In order to flat tow your 2014 GMC Acadia...
