Question:

Purchasing 2 2019 Chevy Travers LT FWD SUV to tow behind our Class A Motorhome 2018 Thor Challenger 37FH. I have existing Blue OX Alpha tow bar and the 7 to 6 wiring Pigtail. Need to identify the Blue Ox base plate, tail light wire kit, the two needed fuse master bypass switches and floorboard breaking system. Also need a tow battery charger and new safety chain/cables. If you can provide me withthe recommended list and part number to purchase, i would greatly appreciate your assistance.

We can absolutely help you find the parts you're looking for. For base plates that are compatible with your Blue Ox Alpha tow bar you'll want to use one of the following, depending on whether or not you've got the adaptive cruise control feature on your Traverse.

For Adaptive cruise use the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit part # BX1738

Without adaptive cruise use the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit part # BX1734

For the wiring solution I recommend using the Roadmaster # RM-15247, which will allow your tail lights and blinkers to function in sync with your RV's lights. This is for use with an RV that has a 7 way on the rear; if you've got a 4 way then I recommend going with the RM-154. Both of these kits contain diodes to help keep back feed from damaging the electrical components. For the fuse bypass system I recommend using the Roadmaster FuseMaster Fuse Bypass Switch for Towed Vehicles - (2) 20-Amp ATC/ATO Fuses # RM76514.

For a portable supplemental braking system, the Blue Ox Patriot 3 # BRK2019 is one of our most popular choices and a great solution to provide responsive proportional braking to your towed vehicle. You'll also need the You will also need specific to your vehicle a Brake Light Switch Kit part # RM-751483 and 12 Volt Outlet Kit part # RM-9332 to power the Blue Ox Patriot 3 system.

If you also need a high/low adapter to keep your tow bar level within 3", I've also linked a helpful article to measure for that, as well as our entire selection of high/low adapters for you to match up to your needs. I've also linked some review and installation videos to help you out once you get your hands on everything, so you can get on the road quickly.
