SnowPack 4 Skis or 2 Boards

The Thule SnowPack lets you carry up to 4 pairs of skis or 2 snowboards on the roof of your vehicle. The low-profile carrier adjusts to the size of your skis and snowboards to reduce the height of the rack, and it installs quickly and easily with the SpeedLink mounting system. 2 sets of T-track extensions let you raise the carrier to accommodate skis and boards with tall bindings. And large push-button releases make it easy to load and unload, even with gloves on.

Vertical Spring System

Vertical Spring System

The SnowPack's smart vertical spring system gives the carrier a low profile and improves aerodynamics. The spring system adjusts to the thickness of the skis or snowboards you're loading and only raises the top of the carrier as high as needed to secure your gear. Similarly, when unloaded the spring system compresses to reduce the overall carrier height.

Ultra-Soft Rubber Liner

The spring system is made of an ultra-soft rubber that secures your skis and snowboards in place. The rubber lines the top and bottom of the arms and protects your gear from being scratched or scuffed by the carrier.

SpeedLink Mounting System

SpeedLink Mounting System

The carrier installs with the SpeedLink universal mounting system. Simply set the carrier on top of your crossbars and run the stainless steel straps under them. Then hook the straps onto the brackets on the other side of the mounting assembly and tighten them down with the turn knob.

2 Sets of Raisers

T-Track Raisers

The SnowPack comes with 2 sets of T-track raisers to protect your roof from skis or snowboards with tall bindings. To install, slide the channel bolts into your crossbar's T-track and snap the raisers onto the bottom of the carrier. Then set the carrier on your crossbars, running the channel bolts up through the holes in the raisers. Lastly, remove the pad inside the carrier and then tighten the cam levers to the channel bolts and throw the cam levers.

2 Sets of Raisers

The 2 sets of raisers can be used individually or together, depending on the size of the gear you're transporting.

Oversized Push-Buttons

Oversized Push-Buttons

The carrier opens with oversized push-buttons on the end of each arm. The large buttons release with a natural upward motion, so they're easy to operate even while wearing heavy, winter gloves.

One-Key Security

One-Key Security

The SnowPack comes equipped with Thule's One-Key System. The locks in the carrier's arms and the SpeedLink mounting assembly are all keyed alike, so you'll only have to keep track of one key. One-Key System lock cylinders can be swapped out to make all of your Thule gear keyed alike.

Yikes! It looks like we will need to have a talk with our Demonstration Department about how they package the products after they use them for videos. We do not sell used and returned items, but our Demonstration team is responsible to make sure the product looks brand new after they get the videos of it for our site.

by:

We love our Thule ski rack. It was easy to install and it woks well. We especially appreciate the lock feature for security.

by:

THE ROOF RACKS ARE WORKING GREAT, WE USE THEM TO HAUL OUR VERY FRAGILE FISHING RODS TO THE WATER.

by:

Great fast service and customer service follow up with every order. It’s a pleasure doing business with etrailer

by:

They worked well this winter. I am happy with the purchase and would buy again.

by:

Great product and has worked well in JH, Wyoming.

by:

This rack easily fits 5 sets of skis for my family. It is FAIRLY easy to take on and off (could be faster if we didn't have to turn turn turn the dials). My biggest complaint is that as soon as my skis are out of it, I HAVE to remove it from my car (SUV). The noise of it empty on my roof is so loud when I am on the highway it is AWFUL! It's like it vibrates my whole car and is super loud. It only does it when there are no skis in it. It is frustrating since it would be way easier just to leave it on all winter taking my skis on and off when we need to, not the entire rack.

by:

So easy to install onto Thule AeroBlade. Quality materials and convenient design. No significant noise noticeable from wind resistance when driving. etrailer provided great shipment/notification support and was great resource for how-to videos, commentary.

by:

Just put this snowboard rack on my 2011 4runner mounted to Thule Aeroblade roof rack. Easy to install and use. Quality seems good. Like the look. No noise issues when driving. No complaints so far. Overall satisfied!

by:

Love it!!!!!! Great ski rack replacement for older rack. The extended slide is incredible. The eTrailer support helped me pick the model that worked for my car and crossbars. Another wonderful purchase from my go to source for bike/ski or other related products!

by:

Better than I expected. Only comes with four core locks so be aware of that if you want six like I did. Bought two more locks from Thule with the same key #. Mounted this carrier on my Rhino Rack. Perfect fit and looks great. Would highly recommend.

by:

Thule makes excellent products no matter what you need.and always get them from etrailer they have the best customer service bar none.

by:

I purchased these ski racks (Thule SnowPack 6) a year ago (November 2017) and they been excellent.

I live in CO and I make regular trips up to the mountains during the winter and these racks made a big difference with the ease of getting to the ski resorts. The SpeedLink system allows me to install or remove the racks on in just a few minutes, which has been nice because I took them off for the summer (and am about to put them on again in a few days).

The racks seem to be well built and feel very sturdy, and don't show any signs of wear after one season (driving the entire winter with the racks on). They also securely hold your skis and snowboards in place and you will not have to worry about losing them on the highway (I've shook/rocked my snowboard with most of my weight while in was in the rack and it didn't budge).

If you are a skier/snowboarder that makes multiple trips up to the resorts in the winter, I'd highly recommend these ski racks.

by:

It works very well. I do not any issue so far.

by:

Used this last season for the first time. Found it lightweight and very easy to install; the main difficulty was getting front and back carriers aligned on the center of the vehicle as the clasps are offset. It was used to hold 4 sets of skis and did this quite easily. I think 5 sets would be no problem, but six sets might be pushing it especially if you are using wider skis. It is very much worth the extra money to get the extender/slide out option if you stand under 6' tall and have an SUV.

by:

Fits our 4 skis and 1 snowboard, 2 skis are for kids which makes it easier. Slide out is really helpful so we don't have to climb over the car to put things on the rack.

by:

Great quality, great price and great etrailer service! Installation videos on the web site helped a lot, since the owner's installation instructions came as "pictogram-type" drawings. Good for reference but a bit obscure as tutorial.

by:

These work great. They are not quiet, but rumble like the wind they create Due to their square shape.I sort of wish I had gone with a trailer hitch system for skis that could be detached, especially as I went for the aerodynamic bars in order to have a quiet rack system. The pull out feature is cool though, and they load easily. I had an idea, why not create a system where the ski attAchment could pivot 90 degrees down horizontal when not carrying skis — they are loudest when not loaded. They would be more aerodynamic and shorter profile all week until it’s time to go skiing.

by:

The folks at E trailer are great people to deal with. Very knowledgeable and put me on the exact product I needed, and for the right application. Highly recommend this company!

by:

Installation is straight forward. We like the extender slide out option and it’s easy to load, lock/unlock and unload. We would recommend this carrier.

by:

Install was straightforward. Instructions were clear. The only thing you actually have to think about is measuring the cuts on the rubber strip that covers the channel on the top of the bar.

I got this setup to carry skis up to the snow without having to fold down seats and listen to them rattling around for the whole ride. The carrier looks great on the car and does its job well. Had a few pairs of skis up there last weekend to test it out. The rack functioned perfectly and I didn't even notice any additional noise due to the rack or the skis.

The carrier is very easy to operate even with thick gloves on. It has a very positive click when fully closed so you know it's all the way shut. Then, once you lock it, you're confident that the skis aren't going anywhere.

  • Recommended Thule Snowboard Carrier for 2 Snowboards
I may have a solution for you, but the Thule 575 Snowboard carrier has been discontinued for some time and is no longer available. Instead, you could use the Thule SnowPack Ski & Snowboard Carrier - 4 Skis or 2 Boards - Silver # TH7324, which is also designed to be able to carry 2 snowboards and will fit on the same types of crossbars. This would be the currently closest available Thule carrier that would have the same specs as the 575. I've linked a review video of this carrier for you...
