Which Roof Mount Ski Racks Fit a 2010 Ford Explorer Factory Roof Rack and Can Hold Fishing Poles
Question:
Which Roof Mount Ski and Snowboard Racks Fit a 2010 Ford Explorer with Factory Crossbars, and can they be used to transport fishing rods?

Expert Reply:
There are several ski/snowboard carriers that will fit the factory roof rack on your 2010 Ford Explorer.
From Yakima you can use any of the following:
FatCat Evo (4 skis) # Y03095
FatCat Evo (6 skis) # Y03096
From Thule you can use any of the following:
SnowPack (6 skis), # TH7326
SnowPack (4 skis), # TH7324
SnowPack Extender, # TH7325
Any of the above racks can also hold fishing poles with the exception of the Snowboard Rack # TH575. Out of these options my favorite is the SnowPack Extender, # TH7325, because it makes it easy to load the cargo. Just pull out the carrier, open it, and insert the cargo. No need to climb up to reach the top of the vehicle.
