One question how do I get the locks for rack?

Victoria B.

10/24/2019

You can lock your RockyMounts TomaHawk Bike Rack by fitting the integrated locks with lock cores. Part # RKY0332 will give you two lock cores and keys that are keyed alike so you only need one key to unlock both locks. These locks will secure your bike rack and your bike.

This rack is great. I've traveled about 2,500 miles with the bike loaded up and it has been rock solid. Well designed. I bring a little folding step ladder with me that I use to load/unload the bike. When I'm not using the rack, it lays down nicely and you never even know it's up there. Highly recommended product.

by:

Good sturdy unit. Bought two. Held my 29er and road bike great for a 4-hour haul. Easy to install and put together. Don't even know it's on the roof since it makes no noticeable noise at any speed.
(Hint) I bought a collapsible step stool in case I needed help from a shorter person to put the bike up on the roof. So far no help needed since the "v" helps keep the bike in place as the straps are buckled.
Installed on a 2018 Kia Sorento.

The RockyMounts Tomahawk bike-rack is a high quality aluminum frame, which will last years to come. And it's universal fit makes it easy to mount on any roof rack! My bike has big Bontrager tires which fit pretty well on the carrier. It took 15 minutes to assemble, but the instructions were not very clear. A [online] video was better help! I haven't used it on a trip yet, but so far so good!

It has been a year since owning the TomaHawk Bike Rack &amp I couldnt be happier! No problems so far &amp I have taken it on at least 20 trips across ontario. Very good quality &amp has not put a single scratch on my bike... 5 stars!!

by:

This is my first Rockymount product, and they have won me over. This was well-designed and secures bicycles very well, despite the broad selection of wheel accomodations. In the future, I will not even look at the other two major bike rack makers. I really like how it requires common bicycle tools to disassemble, which makes me think it is more secure than all the other racks I own that have wingnuts everywhere.

Super Z.

No issues. Great product. Great dealer.

This rack is great. Easy to install; bike mounts easily; sturdy. I'm happy with it.

A year in, so far so good. Its sturdy, and the rack is easy to take on and off. Etrailers great.

by:

Super easy install, I was a bit doubtful of being able to fit clamping arm around my front tire due to my rack, but was able to do it no problem. The rack is steady, both on car and bike holding ability. I would recommend for anyone!

by:

I've had the entire 3 bike rack for about 4 years now and it is great. I use it at least once a week and have had no problems. It is heavy with the 3rd rack on, it's difficult for my wife and son to use with the 3. I take the third rack on and off frequently as I need it, and I switch the whole rack from car to car often as needed as well and don't mind it at all. The weight is the only potential draw back, its a great value for what you get.

by:

Nice carrier, easy to assemble and install, works with fat tire bike without having to purchase extra parts

by:

This was just what I needed.
First
of all this bike rack is not mounted on an auto roof rack. I have a motor home and us a swivel wheel trailer to carry a motorcycle; the platform is 5 ft long and 8 ft wide I needed some way to also carry a Mongoose fat bike, the method of carry had to be stable, so as not to crash in to the motorcycle and secure so as not to be stolen, but easy for me to use the bike any time I wanted to. This bike rack filled the bill just right. It is strong, holds the fat bike perfectly and secure from theft, and I can get the bike off and on with little effort. The lock cores work great and are worth the extra cash.
Love this thing and recommend it to anyone.
Sorry but I have no way to add pictures.

by:

PROS: easy to install, easy to use, keeps bike secure on top of vehicle, good price
CONS: does not have a lock, getting your bike on and off the top of your vehicle is NOT easy (not a product issue, but something to consider when choosing a top rack or hitch.. I need to carry as many bikes as possible so I have to use the roof, too! all the light weight racing bikes go on top for sure!)

after a year, the product still works as when new.. no issues.

by:

Very nice roof bike rack carrier. Went on 600ml round trip to the mountains with my fat tire bike. No issues at all. Very stable and secured.

by:

Exactly what I needed for transporting my Fat Bike, thought I would need to install a hitch mount and buy a new bike carrier but after seeing the product in use vía etrailer’s on line video I was ready to take a chance and glad I did, works great on my Thule roof rack cross bars, allowing for secure transport. An additional plus was the quick delivery and the great customer service - thank you!

by:

Fast delivery, easy to install, easy to use with bike also! Money well spent!

by:

Pros: functions well, easy to use, holds a fat bike, great value.
Cons: I had to loosen the pressure on the arm, it was a bit too hard to move. The rack is noisy in a couple of ways. The "offset" rear mount allows the rack to flex sideways an it rattles against the cross bar, I stuffed some strips from an old tube underneath to quiet it. The handle is somewhat loose on the upright bar, so it allows some rocking when loaded, which causes clunking.
Double straps for fat tires is a little fussy, but it works and is simple. This in minor, but the rack sticks out way far in front of the forward crossbar, it almost looks like it's on backwards.

by:

The Tomahawk racks are well made and easy to assemble and use. Used two of the racks as basis for a truck bed bike carrier. Mimicked a roof rack mount in the bed of the truck using conduit and metal angle brace. System is sturdy and easily slid into and out of the truck bed. Folds flat and can be hung on garage wall for storage.

by:

Good rack with solid hold for mountain and road bikes. Haven't tried with fat bikes yet. Locking operation is quick. Mounting and dismounting takes more time than I'd like, but for the price the Tomahawk is hard to beat.

by:

I have enjoyed using the rack to transport my bike to different locations to ride and to have maintenance completed. I also recently used the rack to pick up a new bike for my husband from a sporting goods store. I like that I do not have to remove the wheels from the bike when transporting. I have the bike rack of my Scion FRS. It is a good quality rack.

by:

The Rockymount bike rack is a great bike rack and I am very happy with Etrailers service, delivery and communication. I would definitely shop with etrailer again.

by:

Good product, arm was to tight the to move. had the bike to fall onto car! I was able to loss the clamp and now works good!

by:

At my door in a matter of days and installed and mounted in less than 30 minutes. GREAT SERVICE AND GREAT PRODUCTS!

by:

Well constructed, super easy to mount, and holds my fatty like she deserves to be.

The rack still works great. I use it several times a week and it is holding up very well. Functioning like new. Very satisfied. I use it for both my fat bike and my 29” full suspension trail bike with 2.35” tires. All I have to do to convert is addremove the strap extensions.

by:

The product is as it was described, but a little tricky to assemble for a novice like myself. It is a sturdy piece of equipment and I'm looking forward to using it this week end !

by:

Rack is awesome built good way better then the thule ones i bought

by:

No complaints. 3000 miles without problems. Great rack for the price.

Yes, there are several roof bike racks that will fit roof racks for the 2016 Ford Fiesta. First we have the Rhino-Rack Hybrid rack # RRRBC050-FB. Another option is the RockyMounts BrassKnuckles for fat bikes # RKY1201-FB. It also accepts bike tires up to 5 inches wide. I have linked a video for it as well. Although the EcoHitch # 306-X7235 has a 2 inch receiver, the vehicle itself is rated for a Class I hitch with a very limited tongue weight capacity. Because of this limited capacity, all the bike rack manufacturers agree that no more than 2 bikes should be carried on a bike rack installed on a Class I rated vehicle. The # 306-X7235 hitch has a 300 lb tongue weight capacity, which means that the maximum amount of weight the hitch will support is 300 lbs. The Hollywood Racks # HR1400Z-FB...

Since we have not tested two Seasucker Hornets # 298-BH1302 on a back window of a vehicle, we cannot confirm for sure if the weight of the combined bikes on the windows will damage/crack the windows.
