Today, we are going to look at the Hopkins Plug in simple vehicle wiring harness with this four way flat trailer connector for factory package vehicles. This is a custom fit part, it is designed to fit the 1998 to 1999 Ford Ranger with the factory four-way connector. Also fits the 1998 to 2001 Mazda V series two trucks with the factory two package, the 1997 to 1999 Mercury Mountaineer with the factory two package and 2000 to 2001 Mercury Mountaineer with the factory four-way connector. In any custom fit part, I always recommend you go to our website, use our fit guide, put in our year model vehicle and it will show you if this will work for your application. Now this harness provides this four-way flat trailer connector at the back of your vehicle to power your trailer signal lights. Again, as I mentioned, it is designed for use on vehicles with the factory two package. This is compatible with five pull, six pull, seven pull adapters that we do sell separately on our website. This harness does connect very quickly and easily, there is no cutting or splicing of wires.

Basically, you locate the location point of this connector, which is behind the rear bumper on the vehicle. It will match up, you just plug in this connector, run your four-way out of the back and you are ready to plug into your trailer. Also, it is nice when your connector does have the protective connection terminals to help resist corrosion. Comes with all of these parts also, comes with the dust cap for the four-way and what is nice about that is you can just attach it to your four-way connector and you can just leave it on there and when you are not plugged into your trailer, put your cap on there and it protects those terminals from any damage, or from the elements themselves. Comes with a couple of cable ties to take up any slack in the wiring and it comes with a nice package of terminal grease for dielectric grease for your electrical connections. When you do make your connections, it is usually recommended to use a small amount of this grease on all of your electrical connections so you want to put some grease on there when you put it into the automobile and even put some on the four-way when you plug it in the trailer to help prevent any corrosion.
