They allow a mounted bunk board, which is run from the front of the trailer to the back, to pivot while you are loading a boat. On kayak trailers, these brackets are mounted to the trailer's frame and support bunk boards that run across the trailer.

Galvanized steel parts are hot-dipped in zinc after being stamped. This creates a coating that is typically 3 mil to 5 mil thick. This thick, all-around coating allows galvanized steel products to provide years of use without rusting or corroding.

Dimpled surface keeps bracket from sliding along trailer frame.The bracket parts themselves are 5 star, prompt delivery and easy install on my boat trailer. 3 stars because the joining bolt and nut are plated steel. In salt water, they aren't going to last long, so I will get stainless fittings that should have come with the bracket at this price. Extra work.

The item has been on my trailer for a year now and is holding up just great. It is attached to the front bunk on the trailer and after being dunked in saltwater numerous times it is performing very well.
Thickly plated bracket, good hard and strong. Could adjust with large hammer after install, no fear of bending.

All of the trailer brackets are good quality. The brackets seem to be priced fair but the U-Bolts are very expensive (double what I would have expected to pay)
High quality product...Utilizing the bracket for a custom boat anchor bracket versus its published intent as a bolster...Found many custom options for creative solutions.
I found by far the best price at etrailer.com, and processing and shipping were very fast. There isn't much room for surprises with a bracket, but they did come with a nut and bolt connecting the two pieces, which was a pleasant find.
The variety of sizes has made my project easier! Not all cross members on my boat trailer were the same height. Thanks! I would definitely buy from you again.

Great product, 12 gage steel (? guessing...) with heavy zinc plating... I'm sure it will last years. Quick order fulfillment also. Regular ground shipping to Philly PA received in only 6 days.
Good products which might be improved with better descriptions of the item. My advice is to really study the desired item in detail to make sure you get what you "think" you are getting. Remember if you tear into the packaging it may not be returnable.
Good product, easy to install. Not much you can say about dumb iron.
