Video Transcript for Lionshead Tires and Wheels LHLR110 Review

Today we're going to take a look at the Lionshead 9/16 by 18 stainless steel capped lug nut. This lug nut is constructed of a steel with a stainless steel outer cap for maximum durability and corrosion resistant. It is designed to fit 9/16 of an inch wheel bolts with 18 threads per inch. It does have the standard 60 degree taper on it. The height on this if we measure it is going to be right at two inches tall, and it does use a socket size of 7/8 of an inch. I pulled a 7/8 inch socket here, and you can see it fits right on there.

It allows you to remove it or install it. That should do it for the review on the Lionshead 9/16 by 18 stainless steel capped lug nut.

etrailer is the best place to find good quality and hard to fine products for your trailer. Their service is 5 star for ordering and returns. I have never had any problems with this company and I will continue to use them for future needs. Thank you for a great dependable company.

by:

A perfect match for the lugs on our Solitude 390 with Morryde independent suspension. If you have tried to find these lugs in local shops you know they are almost like Bigfoot.

by:

Wheel lug nuts look pretty heavy duty and of good quality. Very pleased with them. Also a big Thanks to Kelly P she is very helpful in helping me find what I needed. Will work with her in the future when she is available.

by:

Perfect match to our original lug nuts.

by:

Ordered in the afternoon and it shipped the next morning. I'm not used to paying frieght, but the charges were actual instead of the inflated charges where other vendors make more money. Can't complain about anything except for the caps on the originallug nuts coming apart after 3 years. Purchased a totally deep 7/8 socket to help prevent that. Thanks Etrailer.

by:

Again like all the other orders I have gotten from Etrailer, fast and great service. Couldn’t find anywhere what I was looking for, as always you guys had it. Thank you and keep up the great service. The lug nuts are exactly what I was looking for.

Working Great, wheels haven’t fallen off.

by:

These should fit as I checked the size of my current lugs. They are spares just in case....They came with a day early with the wheel I ordered. They were well packaged. Very happy, I would order again.

by:

AAAAAAAAAAAAA fast service helpfull

thanks

by:

Arrived quickly. Lug nut was good construction and fit as specified.

by:

Love these wheel covers! Perfect fit on my Lakota horse trailer and have kept my tires from developing sun exposure/rain rot, extending the life of my tires. Wish they were a little easier to get on/off but that’s just the old man in me complaining. They even helped through the winter as seen in the photo!

I needed to find matching lug nuts, simple as that may sound, for our new 5th wheel having no success locally. I found etrailer was quick, easy, efficient and had the correct lug nuts available immediately. Shipping was very expeditions and reasonably priced. The order was completed and shipped professionally and promptly. etrailer will definitely be on my list of "go to" places in the future. Thank you etrailer!

by:

I received the lug nuts I ordered from etrailer as promised. etrailer was the only provider I found who had the lug nuts I needed in stainless steel. I have both an RV and a boat trailer and the current lug nuts have all corroded badly so I wanted stainless steel to prevent this from occurring. Ordering from etrailer was easy and convenient. Thanks!

by:

Was exactly what I needed, bought a couple extra, fit was perfect for the Lippert axles

by:

Very hard to find this lug nut locally to fit my 5th wheel trailer. Even my local trailer building place didn't have them. But etrailer had them and a perfect fit and match to my other ones.

by:

It was a little difficult to locate on your site under lug nuts. Actually found it through online search back to your site. Delivered as promised . Thank. you

by:

I ordered lug nuts for my RV and needed them within 5 days. Sheri T. had the lug nuts delivered within the time I needed. The lug nuts were very difficult to find locally, so I went online and found them at etrailer.com. The lug nuts that I received were exactly what I was looking for. In the future I certainly will use etrailer.com rather than look all over to find parts, for my RV. Great service and Great product.

by:

I needed to replace several lugs as they had been damaged with the wrong wrench. I looked everywhere for replacements…..no luck.
Then I found the exact ones on etrailer. Shipping was quick and delivered on time. I would highly recommend these folks for your specific needs.
Many thanks

by:

Perfect replacement.

Excellent exact replacement

by:

Quality of product is excellent!. The package was held up in Houston for a week while UPS transferred to USPS. Received ten days after ordering and some of the nuts were loose in the damaged box. The plastic bag should have been sealed close to insure that there was no loss of nuts through holes in box.

by:

Customer Service is great. I ordered 32 lug nuts and two of them were wrong size. I spoke with them in regards to the problem and they sent the correct ones out right away. I highly recommend them!

by:

Awesome wheels and tires.

by:

  • What Does Right Hand Thread Mean for Trailer Lug Nuts
Right hand thread means that they tighten turning clockwise like what you have. Older vehicles and trailers used to put left hand threaded lugs on one side of the trailer and right hand on the other. The thinking back then was that they all had to tighten a certain direction relative to the rotation of the wheels otherwise they would loosen on their own from inertia while traveling down the road. In recent years we've learned that's not true so basically everything now is right hand thread.

  • What Type of Lug Nut Should Be Used with a 17.5" Alcoa Wheel with 9/16 Wheel Studs
At the end of the day, you can use any of those options (stainless steel, zinc or chrome), you just need to get a lug nut that fits the 9/16 stud. But, we do not have a chrome option that fits the 9/16 stud. Personally, I would go with the stainless steel option because it will provide the best corrosion resistance and the most durable option. - Lionshead Trailer Wheel Lug Nut # LHLR110 But if you are looking for a more economical option, you can use the zinc coated lug nut. - DeeMaxx...

  • Lug Nut Covers for RV Trailer Wheels
I have a solution for you, however, we do not carry snap on lug nut covers small enough to fit the lug nuts on your trailer. We do offer lug nuts with a finished back if you are okay with replacing your lug nuts. If you need 1/2 inch lug nuts, part # 12CLN would work well for you. If you need 9/16 inch lug nuts, you would want part # LHLR110.

  • Recommended Stainless Steel Lug Nuts For A Shorelandr Boat Trailer
Hey Jeremy, For stainless steel lug nuts I'd go with Lionshead's 1/2" -20 # LHLR103 or 9/16"-18 # LHLR110 depending on the diameter of your wheel studs. You could add in a hub cover but it's honestly not necessary and more so just for looks. The Karrier ST185/80R13 Radial Trailer Tire & Wheel # KE33JR has a 3.19" pilot hole so you'd just need to measure how far that dust cover sits out to see if there's a long enough hub cover to fit.

We have a few options available. I recommend the Provider ST235/80R16 Radial Tire w 16" Viking Aluminum Wheel - 6 on 5-1/2 - LR E - Silver # A16RTK6FPS. This combination comes with steel inserts in the aluminum wheels to prevent holes from wearing down and eliminate the need for constant retightening of lug nuts. It also comes with a lifetime warranty on the wheel and 2 years on the tire, and 2 years of complimentary roadside assistance. It has a max load of 3520 lbs at 80 psi and a...

The lug nuts I recommend for the Aluminum HWT Hi-Spec Series 03 Mod Trailer Wheel w/-8mm Offset - 16" x 7" Rim - 6 on 5-1/2 # AM22657 are based on the lug stud size and finish preference. I recommend using the Americana Trailer Wheel Lug Nut - Stainless Steel - 1/2"-20 - Qty 1 # AM26NR for 1/2 inch lugs or Chrome Trailer Wheel Lug Nut - 1/2" (Each) # 12CLN. For 9/16 inch studs, I recommend the Lionshead Trailer Wheel Lug Nut - 9/16"-18 - Stainless Steel - Qty 1 # LHLR110. You may also...

  • Compatible Wheel Stud Diameter for Taskmaster A16RG8BMMFL Wheel/Tire Combo
It is indeed true, the 16 x 6-1/2 inch wheel used on the # A16RG8BMMFL wheel/tire combo is indeed compatible with 9/16-18 or 1/2-20 lug nuts. A standard 'deep' lug nut would be used, such as # 12CLN for a 1/2 inch or # LHLR110 for a 9/16, whichever your hub calls for. I've linked you to a product description and an install video.

  • Which Lug Nuts for Dexter 7K axle.
Hubs for 7K axles could use either 1/2 inch or 9/16 lug nuts, so you'll want to measure the diameter of the wheel studs. For 1/2 inch studs, I'd recommend the # 12CLN. For 9/16 inch studs, use # LHLR110.

For instance if you have 1/2 inch wheel studs, then I recommend the Lionshead Trailer Wheel Lug Nut - 1/2"-20 - Stainless Steel - Qty 1 # LHLR103. So it won't affect the fit whatsoever, and the Westlake you asked about will work superbly; the correct part number is the following: - Westlake ST235/80R16 Radial Trailer Tire w/ 16" Silver Mod Wheel - 8 on 6-1/2 - Load Range E # LHAW133 The # LHAW133 is a really nice choice as I'm partial to Westlake due to their deep 10/32" tread depth, which...

  • Are Right Handed Lug Nuts More Likely To Loosen When Installed On the Left Hand Side Of a Trailer
I think what you are asking is if right hand threaded lug nuts have a greatly likelihood of coming loose when installed on the left hand side of the trailer in comparison to when they are installed on the right hand side of the trailer due to the direction the wheel is rotating. If that is the case then this was a concern at one time but more accurate testing has confirmed that it makes no difference as to what way the lug nut threads on in relation to the rotation of the wheel. • Which Provides the Best Corrosion Resistance, ESR Finish or Aluminum Wheels?
I would recommend something else. In terms of good, better and best corrosion resistance, the ESR Finish you referenced is what we would consider the "better" option. While better than galvanized wheels, this finish is still placed on steel wheels which means that over time the inevitable nick or scratch will expose the steel, making it susceptible to corrosion. For the best corrosion resistance, an aluminum wheel/tire combo like # LHAWSO513B provides far superior coverage. It has a...
