Video Transcript for Review of Derale Stainless Steel Hose Clamp Set - D13008

Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a really quick look at this set of Derale stainless steel hose clamps. This set is going to give you four of these stainless steel hose clamps that will fit with your hoses that range in inner diameter from 5/16 of an inch to a half inch. And these are gonna be very easy to tighten down. You can use a flathead screwdriver, an eight millimeter, or a 5/16 inch socket wrench, or nut driver to tighten these down so that your hose sits firmly on your hose barb. You're not gonna have to worry about it coming loose.

So 'cause these are a stainless steel construction and you can trust they are gonna hold up well for you, and do a good job making sure that your hose stays on that hose barb, so you don't have to worry about oil leaks and that sort of thing. So that completes our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching..

Used these, while installing Power Steering and Transmission cooling kits on a 2003 Honda Odyssey. I pulled a 5' x 8' U-Haul trailer from Virginia to Utah. I must say that I am impressed! Had zero issues the entire trip, going up and down hills/mountains with grades of 8%. They are still going strong to this day and have kept all hoses secured.

  • Recommended Transmission Cooler for a 2013 Chevy Tahoe
I have the perfect transmission cooler option for you. Generally speaking, the best transmission cooler to use would be the largest one you have available space for. The best place to install a transmission cooler is in front of the radiator/condenser behind the grill on your 2013 Chevy Tahoe. I recommend using the Derale 25-Row, High-Performance, Stacked-Plate Cooler part # D52508 because the plate and fin technology incorporated into this transmission cooler is far more efficient than...

  • Recommended Frame Rail Fluid Cooler for 200r4 Transmission on 1946 Chevy Truck
The Derale 24" Frame Rail Fluid Cooler with -6 AN Inlets # D13225 is a great option. It does not require lines to the front of your truck to cool your transmission. There is not a longer option available, but you can run the Derale 17" Frame Rail Fluid Cooler with - 6 AN Inlets # D13221 as well if increased cooling is desired and you need to be under 45 inches. • Adding an Engine Oil Cooler and a Power Steering Cooler to a 2007 Toyota 4Runner SR5 4.0L V6
Thanks for asking about a Power Steering Cooler and Engine Oil cooler for your 2007 Toyota 4Runner SR5 V6. Adding two more coolers is not going to present a cooling issue for your engine/radiator. The coolers allow air to flow through them and will not transfer enough heat to the air going through them to effect the cooling performance of the vehicle's radiator. Your engine oil filter has 3/4-16 threads. So you can determine the correct threads to use from the recommended kits below,...

  • Can I Bypass the Factory Transmisson Cooler on a 2007 Nissan Frontier
We do not recommend bypassing the factory cooler with a supplemental transmission cooler, but if you are going to do so, I strongly suggest using the largest and most effective cooler that will fit in your engine compartment. Keep in mind, these transmission coolers are designed to be supplemental coolers to the vehicle's cooling system, not independent coolers. As far as coolers go, the most effective design is a stacked-plate cooler like the Derale High-Performance Transmission Cooler,...

  • Replacement Radiator Fitting for 1996 Cadillac Fleetwood
According to my research, your 1996 Caddy Fleetwood has the GM 5.7L engine. The radiator adapter fitting you mentioned, part # D13018 would indeed be compatible with your vehicle, and could be used to replace the cracked fitting you mention. Since the transmission line running into the radiator is a hard line, you will need to install a short length of 11/32 I.D. hose like # D13003 between the two fittings. You will also need some hose clamps, like those provided with # D13008 to secure...

  • Transmission Cooler Recommendation for 2007 Dodge Ram with Cummins Diesel
For a full size diesel truck you'd need all the cooling power you can get if you plan to bypass your factory cooler. Stacked plate coolers are the most efficient styles of coolers around so the part # D54010 would be your best option. To complete the installation you will want two of the barb hose fittings, part # D98202, replacement rubber hose # D15799, hose clamps # D13008 and insta-dapt radiator adapter # D13004. The mounting kit is # D50020.

  • Transmission Cooler for a 2013 GMC Yukon XL
The transmission coolers that we carry are meant as supplemental coolers to the factory cooler though some people do decide to bypass the factory cooler for any number of reasons. The term tow package means different things to different manufacturers but it does often include a supplemental cooler. Adding a cooler is an inexpensive way to help get the most life out of your transmission, especially when towing. Transmission coolers are not vehicle specific. However, if you happen to have...

Depending on where you install the Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit # D13502 on your 2016 Nissan Frontier, you may or may not need some additional hose. As you saw from the installation video on a 2014 Frontier (which is linked), some additional hose was required for the install. You can aquire new hose from our site using part # D13003 should you need it. This hose is 4 feet long and should be enough for your application. You may also need some additional clamps...

If you need additional hose length, we offer a 4 ft long individual hose, # D13003, and a 25 ft hose, # D13007. You may also need additional hose clamps, # D13008, if you purchase additional hoses.

On the Derale Remote Dual Oil Filter Mount Kit, # D15707, it allows you to put your filter in a convenient location for easier oil changes. It is a dual oil filter, so it will give you additional filtration and increased oil capacity, it does not allow you to bypass the oil filter. • Fluid Leaks After Installing the Derale Adjustable Fan-Control Thermostat # D16769
It is surprising to hear your hose is leaking after installing the Derale Adjustable Fan-Control Thermostat, # D16769. We have not received any complaints for this product. I spoke with my contact at Derale and he said there are only a few things that typically cause leaking with this thermostat. First, make sure the included foam pad is placed over the capillary tube. • Transmission Cooler Recommendation for 2012 Ram 3500, 6.7 Cummins with 6 spd Automatic
The best way to install a supplemental transmission cooler in line with a factory transmission cooler is to put the supplemental cooler after the factory cooler. To do that you will need to determine which of the lines from the factory cooler is the outlet. To do that you will want to start your truck when its cold, put it in drive for about 10 seconds with the brake on, put it back in park and shut the truck off. Yes! You can use 2 of the Derale 40-row coolers # D54008 to cool the transmission fluid on your prostreet car. The stacked plate design is the most efficient at cooling. To optimize cooling make sure the coolers are mounted where they can get the most air flow (right behind the grille). I also recommend a couple of mount kit # D50020 and some hose. • Will the Derale 25-Row Stacked-Plate Cooler Fit a 2005 Chevy Silverado 2500
The stacked-plate transmission coolers like the Derale 25-Row, High-Performance, Stacked-Plate Cooler with -6 AN Fittings part # D52506 do offer superior cooling power when compared to plate-fin and tube-fin designs. However, they are also much thicker at 2" which means you will need to make sure you have this much depth in addition to the length and height of 13" wide x 9-3/16" tall. There should be plenty of space behind your grille for this cooler so I don't think you will have any issues....
