Ryan: Hey, everybody. Ryan here at etrailer.com. Today on our 2014 Ram 1500 we're going to be taking a look at and showing how to install the etrailer.com Class 3 2" trailer hitch receiver. One thing I noticed right off the bat was that our hitch is going to give us some pretty good clearance. What I mean by that is it's not going to sit too far out past our bumper or sit way back in. That's going to make it really useful, especially for truck owners who disconnect and connect their accessories often.One of the things that sets this hitch apart from some of the others is the finish. more

Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Installation - 2014 Dodge Ram Pickup- Video
Bryan: Hey, everybody. Bryan here, at etrailer.COM. Today, on our 2014 RAM 1500, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Draw-Tite Ultra Frame Class V Trailer Hitch Receiver.Now, right off the bat, one of the things that sets it apart from some of the others is that it's going to be visible, but that's because it is a class five and it's a very heavy duty hitch. With something this heavy duty, it's going to be tough to make it completely hidden and still has that heavy duty performance.Now, the hitches maximum gross tongue weight rating, it's going to be 1,500 pounds. So, that's going to be the amount of weight pushing down on the hitch, so if you we're ever to happen to want to use this hitch with an accessory, you'd have more than enough tongue weight to do that. Now, the maximum gross trailer weight rating is going to be 12,000 pounds. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2014 Dodge Ram 2500 - Curt- Video
Speaker: Today on our 2014 Dodge Ram Pick-Up 2500 Series we'll be installing the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver Part No. C15809. Here's what our hitch looks like installed in our vehicle. We'll go ahead and give you a couple of measurements in helping you choose some accessories for your hitch, such as a ball mount, a bicycle rack or a cargo carrier. From the center of the hitch pinhole to the outermost edge of the bumper is approximately 3 1/2", from the top of the opening in the receiver to the ground is approximately 21". Now let's go ahead an install our hitch. Let's go ahead and first begin by pointing out the attachment points that we'll be using to mount our hitch. There's a total of 6 attachment points, 3 on each side. For the two forward most locations, one on each side we'll be using the 3" long square hole spacer blocks with a 9/16 carriage bolts and a 9/16 flange nut. We'll go ahead and use the fish wire provided with the kit. more

Today on our 2014 Dodge Ram pickup 2500 series, we'll being installing the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number C15409. Now here's what our hitch looks like installed on our vehicle. Now we'll go ahead and give you a couple of measurements in helping you choose some accessories for your hitch such as a ball mount, a bicycle rack or a cargo carrier. From the center of the hitch pin hole to the outermost edge of the bumper is approximately 3-1/2 inches. From the top of the opening of the receiver to the ground is approximately 20-1/4 inches. Now let's go ahead and install our hitch. Let's go ahead and first begin by pointing out the attachment points that we'll be using to mount our hitch. There's a total of six attachment points, three on each side. Now for the two forwardmost locations, one on each side, we'll be using a 3-inch long square hole spacer block, the 9/16 carriage bolt and the 9/16 flange nut. more
