EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Installation - 2015 Subaru Outback Wagon 306-x7266

Speaker 1: Today on this 2015 Subaru Outback Wagon we'll be having a look at and showing you how to install the EcoHitch Hidden Class III Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number 306-X7266. Here's what our hitch looks like installed. You'll notice about this hitch, compared to other hitches on the market, the only part you'll see hanging down is the actual receiver itself, and there's no visible cross tube going underneath our fascia. This is something that many of our customers really enjoy about this hitch. Because we don't have that visible cross tube, this maintains a nice clean look on our Outback. This being a Class III hitch with its two-by-two receiver opening, this makes it a very capable hitch and gives you the most options available when it comes to using hitch-mounted accessories. Our hitch features a alloy construction made out of recycled materials and has a nice powder coat finish on it. more

Speaker 1: Today, in our 2018 Subaru Forester, we're going to be installing Draw-Tite's class three, 2-inch trailer hitch receiver, part number 75876. The receiver tube's going to be visible at the back, and if you get down low, you will be able to see the cross tube, however it's tucked underneath pretty far. So most of the time, you won't be able to notice it.It's a class three, two inch by two inch receiver. It's going to work great with ball mounts, bike rack carriers, and just about any other accessory that you can think of. It's uses a 5/8-inch hitch pin, which does not come included, but you can pick one up here at etrailer.com using part number PC3. The smaller hole in front of the hitch pin hole will allow it accommodate a J-pin, which will come in and contact the shank on whatever's inside your hitch, acting as anti-rattle device. more

The cross tube is visible, however, it's tucked nicely up underneath the car or back up behind the fascia quite a bit so it's not going to be as noticeable from the back of the vehicle. This is going to be a class three hitch. It's gonna be two inch by two inch. As you can see, the receiver tube has a nice, reinforced collar to give it a little stability, however, that's not going to change the weight capacity. This back hole here, or the most forward hole, is going to be your hitch pin hole, it's gonna be 5/8 inch in diameter. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Subaru Impreza we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Draw Tite Class I custom fit trailer hitch receiver, part number DT24959.My overall impression of this hitch, it is one of the nicer looking ones because it does stick up nice, close to the bumper and hugs the car nicely. However, it is a Class I, so we are going to be limited on the accessories and the weight that we can pull with it. But compared to the Curt Class I, we're not going to have to worry about using any kind of stabilization straps if we are carrying a bike rack or a cargo carrier. It is going to sit right below the bumper, and that cross tube going from side to side is going to be visible. It's going to give us that inch and a quarter by inch and a quarter receiver tube opening, which is going to be great for some smaller bike racks or a small cargo carrier. Just keep in mind, since it is a Class I, it's only going to accept Class I accessories because there is that stop inside the back of the receiver tube. Now, the way we're going to mount all of our accessories to the hitch pin hole here, and it is going to accept a half-inch pin and clip. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Subaru Impreza we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Draw-Tite class three custom fit trailer hitch receiver, part number 76209. My overall impression of this hitch is that it is gonna be great for a lot of different things. It does sit a little bit lower than some, it's a class three hitch which means it's gonna give us that two inch by two inch receiver tube opening which is gonna open up our options for accessories if we want to tow something or possibly carry up to several different bikes or a cargo carrier. The way we're gonna mount our accessories is gonna be the hole towards the front of our vehicle which is gonna be the hitch pin hole and that's gonna accept a standard five-eighths pin and clip. Now these aren't included in our kit but you can pick them up on our website using part number PC3. The secondary hole towards the back of the receiver tube is gonna be use exclusively for the J-pin stabilization device. The way that's gonna work is it's gonna go through the hitch pin hole like normal and then it's gonna have this hook here which is gonna go in and apply pressure to our accessory keeping it from rattling. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Subaru Impreza, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Curt class one custom fit trailer hitch receiver, part number C11465. My overall impression of the hitch is, that it's going to be great if you're only going to carry up to two bikes. Because it is a class one, so it is going to limit us on how much we can carry and the accessories. Now if you step up to a class two or three, it is going to open that to a lot more options. It is going to sit right below the bumper and we are going to see the cross tube. It's a class one hitch, which means it's going to give us that inch and a quarter by inch and a quarter receiver tube opening. Best 2018 Subaru Impreza Hitch Options

Speaker 1: Today, we're going to be taking a look at the best hitch options for your 2018 Subaru Impreza. On the top here we're going to have a Draw-Tite, and that's going to be a class three hitch. Right below that, we're going to have the Draw-Tite class one, and then, right below that, we're going to have a Curt class one hitch. Our two class one hitches are going to give us an inch and a quarter by an inch and a quarter receiver tube opening, and they're going to be good for your smaller bike racks and smaller cargo carriers, but they are going to be limited on what we can use because of the smaller receiver tube opening and because they're class one. So the weight rating is going to be much lower. Our class three is going to give us a 2 inch by 2 inch receiver tube opening, and it's going to open up a lot more options when it comes to what kind of accessories we can use. We're going to be able to carry up to four bikes, larger cargo carriers, and a ball mount if you plan on doing some light duty towing. All three of our hitches are going to mount relatively the same. more

Now another difference between these two hitches, the fact that they do install slightly differently. While the CURT only requires two attachment points, while the Draw-Tite's going to have three, and it also requires drilling. more
