Draw-Tite Max-E-Loader Trailer Hitch Installation - 2019 Ford Escape- Video

Draw-Tite Max-E-Loader Trailer Hitch Installation - 2019 Ford Escape

Ryan: How's it going Ryan here at etrailer.com. Today on our 2019 Ford escape, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Draw-Tite Max-Frame trailer hitch receiver in comparison to some of the other hitches. This one is going to be visible. However, it is going to contour nicely and sit a little further back and blend in really well to the back of our escape. Now, the upside to that visibility is that everything is going to be in the open and really easy to use. So a nice touch that I really like about this hitch, especially if you're going to be using it to do some towing, is the oversized safety chain loops. more

Curt Trailer Hitch Installation - 2011 Ford Edge

Ryan: Hey everybody, my name's Ryan and here at etrailer we install, test fit and review a lot of different parts. That way we can try to answer any questions those of you might have. And that's exactly what we're doing today on our 2011 Ford Edge. We're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Curt Class II Trailer Hitch Receiver. So there is a lot of different hitches available for the Edge and which one is going to work best for you really just depends on what you plan on doing with it.So in our case, since this one does have the smaller 1-1/4" by 1-1/4" opening, I think this one's going to have the best appearance because it's smaller in size so it blends in a little bit better. And this would be a great choice if you primarily just plan on using your hitch for accessories. With that being said, if you're looking to do a little bit more, maybe some towing, I would recommend a Class III Hitch, like the etrailer.com one. more

Ryan: Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer.com. Today on our 2020 Ford Ranger, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver. When it comes to trailer hitches, one of the common questions that our customers ask is if their spare tire is going to work with the hitch in place Just to give you an example and show you that this is going to have no problem keeping that spare tire up here, while being able to use your trailer hitch still. Now, compared to some of the other hitches out there, this one is going to stick out a little bit further here, closer to the back of the truck, but it is still going to sit more or less just about flush with the edge of the bumper. Now, a couple upsides of that is that it's going to be easy to access to connect or disconnect any of your accessories, and if you're into fold-up accessories, this one's going to be really good, giving us an extra clearance, that way you don't have to worry about any interference or contact whenever you do fold the accessories up.Now, one of the things I like, especially with this being a truck hitch, is that this is still going to give us a nice clean look. You're not really going to have to worry about it getting scratched up or anything like that and since it is matte black, it does match the back of our bumper here really nicely. It really just helps that hitch blend in and even though you can see this portion of the hitch here, how it contours along the bottom of the bumper, and since it matches nice, you're really not even going to be able to notice it on the back of your Explorer. more

Today on our 2019 Ford F-150 we're going to be taking a look at, and showing you how to install, the Curt Class IV 2" trailer hitch receiver.Right off the bat, one of the main things that really separates this hitch from many of the others is the fact that it is a Class IV, so that means it's going to be more heavy duty and be able to handle more weight. So depending on your application, if you haul things quite frequently, this one is going to be a good choice. Now even though it is more heavy duty, it is still going to provide us with that nice clean factory look, and this is going to be more than enough to carry just about any accessory too.Now as far as the hitch's weight capacities go, it's going to have a 1,000 pound maximum gross tongue weight rating, so that's going to be the amount of weight pushing down on the hitch. As far as the maximum gross trailer weight rating goes, it's going to be 10,000 pounds. That's going to be the amount of weight pulling on the hitch, so that's the weight of your trailer plus anything that you might have on it.Now, this can be used with a weight distribution system, which is a separate component, but if you are using that, the weight capacities do increase. more

Connor: Hey guys, this is Connor here at etrailer.com. Today. We're going to be taking a look at the Draw-Tite class three trailer hitch for our 1995 Ford F150. Our Draw-Tite trailer hitch here has a class three rating as well as the two inch receiver tube opening. Now, this is going to be useful if we're using the trailer hitch for towing, because it's going to provide us with a 5,000 pound gross trailer weight rating, which is essentially how much we can pull on the fully loaded trailer, any 500 pounds tongue weight. Now the tongue weight is going to be the downward force on the receiver tube. more

Curt Trailer Hitch Installation - 2018 Ford EcoSport

Rob: Hey, everybody, Rob here at etrailer.com. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Curt class 2 custom fit trailer hitch receiver on our 2018 Ford EcoSport. Now here's what our hitch is going to look like once we have it installed. I really like the hitch because the cross tube is going to be hidden behind the bumper here and all we're going to see is that receiver tube sticking out so it has a really clean, almost factory appearance to it. Now it is going to be that class 2 hitch, which means it's going to give us an inch-and-a- quarter by an inch-and-a-quarter receiver tube opening. It's going to be great for things like bike racks or some of those smaller cargo carriers to make room on the inside of our EcoSport.Regardless of how we're going to use our hitch, all of the accessories are going to mount through the hitch pin hole here on the side. more

So it's going to look good and you're not going to have an eyesore on the back of your pickup. How's it going Ryan here at etrailer.com. Today on our 2017 Ford Transit Connect, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Draw-Tite Max-Frame trailer hitch receiver. Since Transit Connect owners typically use their vehicles to do a little bit of everything, whether it be towing or for accessories, since this does have the two inch by two inch opening and is a class three, it's going to work great for either one. I did notice a couple of things right away that separates this one from some of the others. And one of them will be the clearance. The receiver tube here is going to actually sit a little bit out past our bumper, so it is going to work good for those folding accessories, but on the same card, it does hurt the appearance or looks on the same token. more
