It is gonna live on the inside of the vehicle until we're ready to use it to tow, and it is gonna provide us with a 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector. It's gonna give us all the lights we need to safely get down the road, like our tail lights, turn signals, and our brake lights.All the connections are gonna be made on the inside of the vehicle underneath some of these panels here. Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Nissan Titan, we're going to be taking a look at and show you how to install the replacement and custom multi-tow seven weight and four-way trailer connector. Part number 30955.This is what our seven and four pole looks like when it's installed. Our seven pole side is going to give us all the functions for your running lights, brake lights, turn signals, your ground, your reverse lights, and also it's going to allow you to hook up a brake controller for electric brakes on a trailer.You're also going to have a four-pole connection, which is going to give your normal running lights, brake lights, inaudible 00:00:37 turn signals, and also your ground.Our seven pole plug here is going to have a spring loaded lid so we don't have to worry about making sure it's closed, it'll stay closed by itself. On the inside here, it's going to have a rubber ring, that's going to seal around this edge to keep any dirt and debris, moisture from getting on your connections.Four pole side here, is going to have an attached cover, it's also going to help keep any dirt and debris from getting on your connection points.Now that we've gone over some of the features of our seven and four pole plug, let me show you how to get it installed.Our seven pole and four pole plug is going to come with a bracket. This bracket we're going to mount on our pre-welded bracket on our hitch. Your hardware, you're going to have a Phillips head screw, a flat washer, on the bottom, you'll have a nut and a lock washer.Now our hardware to mount our seven and four pole onto the bracket, you're going to have Phillips head screws like this, four of them. more

The seven way connector will allow us to tow most trailers out there, even ones that have electric brakes, provided we have a brake controller installed on our Pathfinder. On the seven way connector, we'll have electric brake output, we'll have a 12 volt charge line, we'll have backup lights, turn signals, brake lights, tail lights, and running lights. On all of our lighting circuits, we have a maximum power output of 10 amps per circuit, which is more than sufficient power to tow a trailer that has many incandescent light bulbs or as many LED lights as you want because they do draw less power. On our trailer brake output, it is rated for 20 amps, and on our 12 volt charge line, it is rated for up to 30 amps.We have a nice dust cover here, which is spring loaded. It's going to provide us all of our lights including reverse lights, brake lights, turn signals, and clearance lights as well as the option to power a brake controller if we have one installed. It's going to feature a spring loaded dust cover to help keep out some of the moisture and debris as well as a gasket on the inside of the cover to provide it a little bit more protection. Now installing this is pretty straight forward. It is a two piece harness, one section's going to connect back here at the frame rail and then one section's going to be connecting in the cab of our truck on the passenger side. Today, on our 2008 Nissan Frontier, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness, part number: C56225. Here's what our wiring looks like when it's fully installed. It is going to stay on the outside of our truck at all times, and it will be hanging here ready when we're ready to tow. It's going to give us a four-pole flat, and it's going to provide us all the required lights to go down the road, such as our taillights, brake lights and turn signals. Now, this harness is a two-piece system. This section of our harness is going to attached to the back of our frame rail, while the other section is going to be attaching to the inside of our cab to the existing wiring. Now, let's go show you how we get it installed. To begin our installation, we're going to come to the rear of our vehicle and come real close to our spare tire on the inside of the frame on the driver's side. We're going to have two connectors here on the inside of our frame rail, and we're going to want to find the six-pin connector right here. more

Today on our 2017 Nissan Rogue we'll be having a look at and installing the Tekonsha T-One vehicle wiring harness with four-pole flat trailer connector, part number 118480. Here's what our wiring looks like installed. When it's not in use we can easily store it in this compartment out of the way so it's completely hidden. When we're ready to tow our trailer, you can open the compartment on up, grab our wiring, drape it down on the side of our latch here for our hatch, close the hatch on up. As you see, we have a good length of wire, hangs down right next to our hitch, that we can hook our trailer wiring up to. We have this built-on dust cover here to help protect it from any dirt or debris getting inside the connectors, causing a poor connection. Now this wiring harness gives you basic lighting functions that are required by law in order to safely tow a trailer. Green wire here is your right turn signal and right brake light. more

Now, our wiring has this nice dust cover that's built into it to help protect it from the elements and any dirt or corrosion that could possibly occur. That way, when you're ready to hook up to your trailer, you'll know your wiring will be ready to use at any given time. What I really like about the Tekonsha wiring harness that we used today is it's really easy to install, plugs right in, and it gives you adequate length wire to run the wire right down next to your hitch. more

This will provide us with our turn signals for both left and right, our tail lights, our brake lights on our trailer. We have the ability to use a brake controller with this to have electric trailer brakes. We also will have a charge line to charge a battery in our trailer and also for towing a boat trailer that has a reverse lockout solenoid. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2016 Nissan Pathfinder- Video
Today in our 2016 Nissan Pathfinder, we'll be installing a Tekonsha T1 vehicle wiring harness for factory tow package with a seven way trailer connector. Part number 118273. Here's what our seven way connector looks like installed. This will give us all of our required by law lighting functions that we need for our trailer as well as giving us a 12 volt power source to charge any batteries that we have in our trailer, back up lights if we have them on our trailer. If our vehicle is equipped with a brake controller, we'll be able to run our trailer's brakes through this connector. What I really like about this kit is it's very simple to install, there is no splicing of wires anywhere. It all is plug and play using existing connectors already on the vehicle, and you don't have to supply power to it directly from the battery. The vehicle is already pre-wired for that. more

Here's what this wiring kit is going to look like once it's installed on the vehicle. As you can see, we've got our seven-way round connector here at the back. It's a nice spring-loaded lid to help make sure that weather and the elements don't get inside there when it's not in use. This is going to do a great job of providing power to all your circuits on your trailer, like your lighting circuits and your brake circuit. This kit plugs directly into the factory plugs that are underneath the vehicle for the tow package. You will also have to install the relays that will go inside the passenger compartment at the passenger's kick panel. more

Today on our 2010 Nissan Armada we're going to be taking a look at and installing the Tow Ready replacement multi-tow seven-way and four-pole trailer connector. Here's what this wiring looks like once it's installed on the vehicle. You've got your four-pole connector right over here on the side with dust cover. Then right here you've got your seven-way connector with the spring loaded cover, so when you're done using it it will snap back down into place to make sure either keeps out as much moisture and elements as possible to prolong the life of the connections in here. First thing we need to do is find our factory connector. On this one it's right here up inside the rear bumper above the hitch. I'll pop that out. more

Today, on our 2006 Nissan Xterra, we're going to be taking a look at and installing the Curt T-connector vehicle wiring harness with 4-pole flat trailer connector, part number C56225. Here's what this wiring's going to look like once it's installed on the vehicle. As you can see, it's right down here, tied to our safety chain connection point, so whenever we need it, we've got nice, easy access to it. Whenever we're not using it, we can use that dust cover to tie it to that safety chain loop. This wiring harness is nice and easy to install, not terribly difficult, as it's direct plug-and-play into the factory harness. Overall, this harness will do a really good job of making sure that you have power to your trailer when you need it, but also it's easily accessible and easy to use. Today on our 2006 Nissan Xterra, we're going to be taking a look at and installing the Tow Ready T-One vehicle wiring harness with 4-pull flat trailer connector, part number: 118525. Here's what this wiring is going to look like once it's installed on the vehicle. As you can see, we've got nice, easy access to it here. If we need to use it, we can just take that dust cover off of there and unhook it from the safety chain connection point, and we've got easy access for our trailer. Whenever we're done using it, we can use that nice, handy dust cover to clip it back there so we're ready to use it next time we need it. This wiring comes in a kit that's going to give us direct plug and play access to the vehicle's existing trailer wiring harness. What's nice about that is you're not going to have to do any cutting or splicing into the vehicle's wiring system, but rather you're just going to be plugging in the connections that are already there, which means that you're not going to risk doing any harm to the vehicle's electrical system. Overall, this kit is nice and easy to install, and it's going to do a really good job of making sure that you can get that power to your trailers so that you don't have to worry about the lights behind you. Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2014 Nissan Maxima 118470- Video
Today on our 2014 Nissan Maxima we'll be installing the tow ready T1 vehicle wiring harness with four pole flat trailer connector, part number 118470. We want to use our trailer wiring, we'll just pull it out here, make sure it's not going to get stuck in the latch and we can close our trunk over it. When we're done hooking it to our trailer and we're no longer towing, open our trunk up again, re-secure our connector cover here. We can grab the wires and then we'll just store it here underneath the carpet so it tucks up out of the way, just like that. Here's what our kit consists of, we have our wiring here, with our connectors that will plug into the vehicle's taillight assemblies, so we'll have our working trailer lights. We have this module box here which makes sure there is no back feeding of voltage through the trailer back in the vehicle's lights, or the computer system in the vehicle could cause any damage. We have this roll of wire here, which we'll connect from our module assembly here directly to our vehicle's battery using the included fuse holder and fuse. more

When you're ready to use it, you'll simply run it out the back, go ahead and pull it out of our stowed area in the spare tire compartment, and out the back when we're ready to use it. Now, to test our wiring, we're just going to use a test light. We'll use the ground clamp on the ground stud there. That way we can test to make sure we've got a good ground.
