This one is the Draw-Tite. This one's made by etrailer and this one here is made by Curt. Curt Class II Trailer Hitch Installation - 2018 Ford Escape- Video
Hi there Ford owners. Today, on your 2018 Ford Escape, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install Curt's one and a quarter inch Trailer Hitch Receiver. And this is what our hitch looks like when it's installed. It's a one and a quarter inch receiver that we can see here at the back, but our cross tube for the most part's pretty well hidden back behind our bumper. You might be able to see just a touch of it here at the bottom. But for the most part, unless you're getting down on your knees and stuff, you're never gonna see this. more

Today on our 2018 Ford Escape, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install the etrailer class three custom fit trailer hitch receiver, part number, e98866.So here's what our hitch is gonna look like once we have it installed. The cross tube's gonna be hidden behind the bumper and all we're gonna see is that receiver tube sticking out. It's a class three hitch, it means it's gonna give us that two inch by two inch receiver tube opening and have a wide variety of accessories available that we can mount up. The way we're gonna mount all of our accessories is to the hitch pin hole, here on the side and it is gonna accept a standard five eighths pinning clip. Now these are not included in the kit, but you can pick them up here at etrailer.com along with locking devices to keep your accessories secure.And then our safety chain connection points are gonna be a loop cell welded to the bottom. As you can see, we're not gonna have too much trouble getting most size hooks on or off. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Ford Escape, you're going to be taking a look at and I'm going to show you how to install the Draw-Tite class two trailer hitch receiver, part number 36529.One thing I really like about it, is the cross tube is completely hidden behind the bumper fascia. So you're not going to see it, the only thing you see is the receiver tube. This is going to be a class two hitch. It's going to be an inch and 1/4 by inch and 1/4. You can see here, it's got a reinforced collar to give it a little extra stability on the receiver tube.Now as far as weight capacity goes, you're going to have a 300 pound tongue weight, which is downward pressure on the inside of the receiver tube. You're going to have a 3,500 pound max trailer weight, which is the trailer plus the load included. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Ford Escape you're gonna be taking a look at and I'm gonna show you how to install the Draw-Tite class three Max-Frame trailer hitch receiver, part number 75782.One thing I really like about this hitch is that the cross tube is basically completely hidden behind the bumper fascia, the only thing really visible is your receiver tube and it even sits back enough pretty far underneath the bumper fascia that you're not gonna have to to worry about hitting your legs or your shins on it when you're loading and unloading the vehicle.This is gonna be a class three hitch, it's gonna be two inch by two inch, you can see it's got a reinforced collar to give you a little extra stability. This forward hole here it's gonna be five-eighths inch hitch pin hole, this back hole here this is gonna be for a J-pin stabilization device only. The J-Pin stabilization device is gonna take the shake and play out of any of your hitch mounted accessories. It's gonna have ring style safety chain loops, you can see it gives you plenty of room for different size safety chain hooks. Another nice thing about this hitch is you're gonna have your pre-welded plate for any wiring accessories you may have if you're pulling a trailer.Now you're gonna have a max tongue weight of 525 pounds, that's the downward pressure on the inside of the receiver tube. We're gonna have a max trailer weight of 3,500, that's the trailer plus the load included. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Ford Escape we're going to be taking a look at, and I'm going to show you how to install the Curt Class III trailer hitch receiver, part number C13186. What I really like about this hitch is the cross tube is practically completely hidden behind the bumper fascia, so you're not going to see it. The only thing you're going to see is the receiver tube. It's nice and tucked in underneath the bumper, so you're not going to have to worry about hitting your legs or shins on it when you're loading and unloading the back of the vehicle. This is going to be a Class III. It's going to be a 2 inch by 2 inch. more

Trailer Hitch Installation - 2018 Ford Escape - Draw-Tite 36524- Video
Speaker 1: Today on this 2018 Ford Escape, we'll be having a look at and showing you how to install the Draw-Tite Class II Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number 36524.Here's what our hitch looks like installed. Now the first thing you'll notice about this hitch is that even though our crosstube sticks below the vehicle, it does follow the lines of our vehicle nicely giving us a nice clean look. On the side of our receiver, you'll find our industry standard 1/2" diameter hitch pinhole to secure any of our hitch-mounted accessories. You can pick up a pin and clip separately on our website as part number PC2. Welded on the bottom of our receiver is our plate-style safety chain loops. Now, these have a very large opening, so we shouldn't have much problem with any hooking on most safety chains from our trailer.Now, this particular hitch is going to work great for you if you already have Class I and Class II accessories, such as bike racks and cargo carriers. more

Speaker 1: Today on this 2018 Ford Escape we'll be having a look at and showing how to install the Draw-Tite Class 3 trailer hitch receiver, part number 75758. Here's what our hitch looks like installed. Now one thing this hitch has that others on the market don't have is this bracket right here, which is welded to our hitch. This serves as an attachment point for any wiring harnesses that we may have in order to tow our trailer. We have several different wiring harnesses available at our website and several different mounting brackets that will attach to this to secure whichever wiring harness you need for your vehicle.On the side of our receiver here you'll find two holes. This larger one towards the front of the vehicle, that's our industry-standard 5/8" diameter hitch pin hole to secure any of our hitch-mounted accessories. more
