Curt Trailer Hitch Installation - 2016 Subaru Outback Wagon

Hi there, Outback owners. Today on your 2016 Subaru Outback Wagon, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install Curt's Class 3 Two Inch Trailer Hitch Receiver. This is what our hitch is going to look like when it's installed. Our cross tube is going to be hidden completely behind the bumper, so you're only going to see the receiver here at the back. It's a class 3 two inch by two inch receiver, so it's going to be great for all of your towing needs. Whether you're going to be throwing a cargo carrier on the back to help free up some space inside the vehicle for more passengers or cargo, or if you want to throw a bike rack on the back instead of getting a roof rack mounted version, which can be a little more cumbersome and difficult to get your bikes up on the roof, versus a much lower and easier to access hitch mounted bike rack. Could also throw a draw bar in there and do some light towing with it as well.It uses a 5/8 inch hitch pin and clip. more

Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Installation - 2019 Subaru Crosstrek

Rob: Rob here at etrailer.com, and today you're going to be taking a look at the Draw Tite Class II custom fit trailer hitch receiver on our 2019 Subaru Crosstrek. So here's what our hitch is going to look like once we have it installed. The crosstube is going to be visible, it's going to sit right down below the bumper, but it's still going to have that really clean appearance to it because it is going to be tucked back a little bit and the main thing we see is just that receiver tube sticking out.Now our hitch is going to allow us to do a lot of different things. If you want to tow a trailer, we can do that. We can make some room on the inside of our car for more passengers or pets, we can use a cargo carrier to put that gear on the outside, or if we want to take a bike ride, hit the trails, we can put a bike rack in here and we can be on the way.But regardless of what we're going to be using it for, all of our accessories are going to mount to the hitch pin hole here on the side. Our hitch is going to accept a standard half inch pin and clip. more

Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Installation - 2018 Subaru Forester

Jake: Hey guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at and I'm going to show you how to install this Draw-Tite hitch on our 2018 Subaru Forester. This is going to be a two-inch by two-inch hitch receiver, so it's going to be great for any small trailers, bike racks, cargo carriers, et cetera. It's going to have your standard five-eighths-inch pin hole to be able to fit those pins through to be able to lock in your accessories. It's also going to have a loop to be able to hook your safety chains on and a J-pin hole to be able to insert your J-pin if this is the style pin you like using. With this hitch, you are going to have a 525-pound tongue weight rating and a trailer weight rating of 3,500 pounds. But you are going to want to check with your Forrester's owner's manual to be able to see if your car can handle that weight. more

Ryan: Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer.com. Today on our 2015 Subaru Crosstrek XV, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Draw-Tite, class one, trailer hitch receiver. Now although our hitch is mostly visible, I do like how it contours to the lines to the back of our Subaru and blends in pretty well. And there's also a benefit to being exposed like this. It's going to be a lot easier to use and it's going to be easier to get our accessories on and off.The end of our receiver tube, is going to sit pretty much flush with the edge of our bumper. And that's a good thing because we'll get plenty of clearance and that'll work well with any folding accessories. more

Curt Trailer Hitch Installation - 2018 Subaru Outback Wagon

Ryan: Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer.com. Today on our 2018 Subaru Outback wagon, we're going to be taking a look at, and showing you how to install the Curt Class III 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver. Now, one of my favorite things about this hitch is that it's going to be completely hidden, which will maintain that factory look. The only thing you're going to see is the receiver tube opening, and it's still going to be really easy to use, getting our accessories on and off, because how open it is.Now our hitch is going to give us plenty of clearance. The end of our receiver tube is going to be just about flush with our back bumper, and that's going to work really well with those folding accessories. Now with our hitch being a Class III and having that 2" by 2" receiver tube opening, the options for hitch-mounted accessories are more or less endless. So whether it be a ball mount, or a bike rack, you're going to be able to find pretty much any accessory that you need. Now the hitch's pinhole is going to be the standard 5/8 size. more

Today on our 2015 Subaru Crosstrek XV, we're gonna be taking a look at, and showing you how to install, the etrailer.com Class III two inch trailer hitch receiver. Now compared to some of the other hitches available, this one is going to be a little bit more visible, but in my opinion I think it looks pretty good on the back of our Subaru. It contours nicely to the back, and the flat black carbide finish blends in. And there's an upside to being visible, as well, and that's going to be how easy it is to use. Everything's going to be in the open, making connecting or disconnecting any accessories very easy. more

Now, one of my favorite things about this hitch, although it is mostly visible, it does blend in nicely with the back of our Subaru. And many of our customers don't mind the look of it. This is going to be a great hitch, especially if you already have those inch and-a-quarter accessories. Ryan: Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer.com. Today on our 2016 Subaru Legacy we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Curt Class 2 Inch and a Quarter Trailer Hitch Receiver. This is going to be a good all around hitch whether you plan on using it for accessories like bike racks or cargo carriers, or even doing some light duty towing, which many of our customers actually wrote in and said they we're surprised on how well it worked with that light duty towing. Now one of the things that kind of separates this one from some of the others is that it's going to be a little more visible. Now there is an advantage to that, and that is since everything's going to be more open it's going to be easier to use and mount and unmount those accessories.Another thing I noticed is that this hitch is going to give us really good clearance. The end of it is going to sit pretty much flush with the edge of our bumper and that's going to work really good for those folding accessories. Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Subaru Crosstrek, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the EcoHitch Class II Custom Fit Trailer Hitch Receiver, part number 306-X7366. Here's what our hitch is going to look like once we have it installed on our Crosstrek. The cross tube's going to be hidden completely behind the bumper, and all we're going to see is the receiver tube sticking out. The really nice thing about this is if we don't want to see that receiver tube sticking out and we're not going to tow, because of the design, if we pull this bolt out, we can drop the receiver tube out and it'll be completely concealed behind the bumper. Our safety chains are going to be tucked behind the bumper here, and even though we're going to have to reach in a little bit, we should have plenty of room to get our hooks attached. And, since they're so far back, we're not going to have to worry about interference from the pin and clip. Some of our customers have really liked the finish on here. It's going to have more of a textured black finish, opposed to the traditional high gloss, so it's going to hide scratches and dirt really well. more
