Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2014 Toyota Sienna- Video
Today in our 2014 Toyota Sienna, we'll be installing a Tekonsha T one vehicle wiring harness with a four pole flat trailer connector. Part number 118498.Speaker 2: Okay, right now we have our wire drake out of our trunk area to the side of our latch. We're going to go ahead and close our trunk. As you can see, we have an adequate length wire to hang down here next to our hitch, to connect to our trailer. Once we hook up to our trailer here, and plug our lighting in our electrical connector, from our trailer into our wiring harness, then we're ready to hit the rode. When we arrive at our destination, we unhook from our trailer, and we're ready to store our wiring back inside the vehicle. We'll plug the dust cover back over our connector here. more

Today, on our 2016 Toyota Tacoma, we're going to be taking a look at and installing the Tekonsha T-One vehicle wiring harness with 4-pole flat trailer connector, part number 118685. Here's what this trailer wiring is going to look like once it's installed on the vehicle. As you can see, it's tucked up nicely here, where it comes down right to the hitch. If we un-clip it, you'll see that we've got a four flat connector here. This is going to do a great job of providing power for your turn signals, brake lights, and running lights on a trailer or cargo carrier that you may have behind you. This wiring kit uses T-connectors at the back of the tail lights in order to gain the signal for each circuit. Then it's also connected to the battery so that it doesn't overload your vehicle's electrical system. When we do need it, it's just a matter of pulling it right out just like this, we'll allow it to rest right there on that weather stripping. That'll give us good protection so it doesn't get pinched or anything like that. Then we'll just be bale to connect it right to our trailer. When we're down with it, of course, when you do close your door, make sure you don't have it around your striker here. That'll cause issues of course. Then when we're done with it, we're just going to bunch this up and slide our and slide our disk cap right over the end of it there, bring it around and that'll hold it all together nicely for us until we need it again. Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2009 Toyota Sienna- Video
Today on our 2009 Toyota Sienna, we're going to show you how to install the "CURT T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with the 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector," part number is C55580. Here's what our wiring kit's going to look like when we pull it out of the package. Here, you can see our 4 flat trailer connector. This is what we need to get tail lights, brakes and blinker signals to either a trailer or cargo carrier or something of that nature. It uses a converter box that you can see here, which takes signal from our passenger side, from our driver side, and it converts it into a usable signal that we'll have here at the plug. The factory-style connectors simply clip directly in-line between our already existing connectors, so there's no need at all to modify the vehicle's wiring. You'll see here we've got a little ground wire, self-tapping screws provided that we can use to go through that ring terminal to get it secure or we may also have the option of simply using an existing stud underneath the vehicle. They've also provided us with some zip ties and some double-sided foam tape to help us along with our installation. more

Our four pull plug, when we're ready for use, we'll just bring it over and let it sit right over the set rubber gasket there. That allows it to be held in place nicely. We're able to close our door there on top and then just pull out whatever that it is that we need. When not in use, what we can do is coil up that wire, just like that, bring that cap around and then we can use that to hold our wiring nice and tightly right here. Today on our 2010 Toyota Tundra, we're going to be taking a look at and installing the Draw-Tite fifth wheel and gooseneck wiring harness with a 7-pole connector, part number 20110. Here's what the fifth wheel gooseneck wiring looks like once it's installed in the truck. As you can see, it's tucked away nicely over here on the side of the bed. It's got this little housing for the 7-way connector that has a spring-loaded lid, in order to help keep out any dirt and debris. It's a nice, easy install. It comes with all the hardware that you'll need in order to install it. Something that's really nice about this wiring setup is that you don't have to run any extra wiring up into the cabin or under the hood. It just simply plugs in to your existing 7-way wiring. First thing we'll want to do to begin our install is we'll want to locate a good spot in the bed for us to mount this. more

Curt 5th Wheel Wiring Harness Installation - 2015 Toyota Tundra- Video
Today on our 2015 Toyota Tundra, we're going to show you how to install the Curt Fifth Wheel and Gooseneck Custom Wiring Harness with 7-Pole Connector, part number is C56000. To begin our installation, we're going to figure out to start where we're going to be mounting our 7-way plug. As you can see, this gives us an extension or a way to move these remotely from the wiring itself to allow us to hook up maybe a popup key or gooseneck, fifth wheel, stuff like that. Now, we're going to be mounting it somewhere over here in the back side of the truck, unless you need it somewhere else, each application may be a little bit different. I would avoid the sunk in areas. Those are really close to the bed side. What we're looking for is enough area for this once it flushes up against the truck there for this to pass through and also a plug that will be on that back side, so typically down lower in this area is a good idea. more

Today on our 2014 Toyota Avanza we're installing our Curt T Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector, part number C56079. All right, here's what our plug looks like once it's installed. Reasons you would need this is if you had a small trailer you wanted to pull behind your vehicle. If you had a bike rack that had a plug that could plug in some lights to it. If you had magnetic tow lights for something you could plug that into this. This will run your blinkers, your running lights, and your brake lights. All right, when you want to use it we just tuck our wire off to the side, we do not want it have it sitting in here, this can pinch it. But if we have it run right along the side here, the weather stripping allows us to close the back hatch without pinching anything. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2010 Toyota Prius- Video
Today on our 2010 Toyota Prius, we'll be taking a look at and installing the CURT T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4- Pole Flat Connector, part number C56147. First thing we'll need to do in installing our wiring harness is open up the rear hatch. Once you have the rear hatch open, go ahead and remove all the floor coverings and plastics, all the way down to the floor of the vehicle. Now we'll go ahead and remove the rubber seal here, just pull it back, so we can remove the threshold located at the back to run our wires across. Now we'll go ahead and remove the two covers located here, to get access to our vehicle wiring harness. Pull down on the tab, and out to remove. We'll set those up there. more

Here you can see what the wiring is going to look like when you get it out of the package. It looks like a little bit of a mess, but don't let it intimidate you. Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2014 Toyota Prius c- Video
Today, on our 2014 Toyota Prius C, we will be installing the Curt T-connector vehicle wire harness with a 4-pole flat trailer connector, Part number C56275. When you're ready to use your 4-pole, we'll go ahead and slide it down, and then get ready to close up your hatch and plug up your wiring. First thing we'll need to do in installing our Curt wiring harness is going to be to open up the passenger rear door and locate the kick panel below the passenger seat, which is going to be this plastic piece here. This is going to be the cover that's going to go over the top of the battery. Locate the two fasteners, one located here and one located here. Press in on the center to release and disengage the connectors. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2013 Toyota Sienna- Video
Today we're going to be taking a look at and installing the T-One 4-pole flat trailer connector and wiring harness for the 2013 Toyota Sienna, part number 118498. Right now we're going to take a look at the wiring as you pull it out of the package, so that way you'll understand where each wire goes, and how it all comes together. The yellow wire with the white on it will go to the driver's side. The red, brown, and the green with the four ends on it is going to go to the passenger's side. You will have your ground wire in the center, your power wire, the 12 volt that you will use with the black wire here, connecting it with the butt connector and taking it up to the front of the vehicle. We'll explain that here in a second. more

It gets its signals from the left turn signal with the yellow wire, and right turn signal with the green wire. more

Hopkins Plug-N-Tow Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2003 Toyota Highlander- Video
Today on our 2003 Toyota Highlander, we'll be installing the Hopkins Plug and Tow Vehicle Wiring Harness with Four Pole Trailer Connector, part number 33425. Right here behind the driver's side tail light, there's two little tabs here. Remove that and that will let us gain access to the wiring behind the tail light. Let's go ahead and set aside. Next, we'll go ahead and take the spare tire cover and set it aside and go ahead and take this panel pull it up out of the way. There's a couple push fasteners here that connect this so we're going to go ahead and take those out so we can go ahead and remove this threshold and this plastic compartment so we can run our wire across. Next, we'll go over to the passenger side here and remove a couple of panels. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2009 Toyota Highlander- Video
Today on our 2009 Toyota Highlander, we're going to be doing an installation of the T1 Vehicle Wiring Harness with the 4-pole Flat Trailer Connector. The part number is 118449. Now, for the first step in our installation we need to plug in our module box that has the rectangular white connector on it and it's going to match up with the plug that we've got right up here. You see right here we've got the factory plug, so what we'll do is just take ours, line up our tabs, press it together until it clicks, and then pull to test. Make sure all of our connections are nice and tight and then we'll just tuck our module box up and use the provided zip tie to zip tie that off. I'm just going to go right around the wiring harness that runs right there. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2012 Toyota Camry- Video
All right. Today on this 2012 Toyota Camry we're going to install Part Number C55567 from Curt. This is a T-Connector Vehicle Wire Harness With a 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector. To start off our install we need to go ahead and open up the back hatch and remove all the floor coverings until we get down to the spare tire area. Next we need to go ahead and remove the threshold with the two plastic fasteners that we have to remove. We pull off the centers first, then we go ahead and pull off the rest of the fastener. Then we go ahead and pop loose the threshold. With steady pressure from the bottom, we pop it up. Now we'll go ahead and move on to the liners on the side. more

Today on this 2014 Toyota Rav 4, we're going to show you part number 56166, the Curt T Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with a four pole flat trailer connector. First off, here's our module right here with our four pole wire that goes up to our four pole end. Our end also comes with a cap to protect it when it's not being used. If you take a look at the other end of the module, we've got our wires that will go up to our taillights. This is a T connector right here. The yellow one is for our left hand side and the green is for the right hand side. There's also a black wire that needs to be connected to our larger wire here that goes to our 12 volt power supply underneath the hood. more
