It's going to give us our reverse light signal, which is very important for marine applications. It will also give you a brake controller signal if you've installed a brake controller in your vehicle, and wire it up to the wire coming rear to the plug. Another difference that we'll see is on the Tekonsha, it's got this white ground wire with a ring terminal at the end in order to ground it. Today on our 2010 Honda Odyssey, we'll be installing the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector, part number C56161. When we want to hook up to our trailer, all we got to do is drop down some of our wiring here, set it to the side of our trunk latch and we'll close our hatch on down. Take our dust cover off, hook up to our trailer and we're ready to tow safely. When we arrive to our destination, we can unhook from our trailer, replace the dust cover here and we have plenty of room to make it all the way back to our trailer and have plenty of wire to spare. We don't have to worry about it being too short and we have plenty of wire to make our connection. Once we have actually hooked it to our trailer, gone to where we we're going and unhooked our trailer, we will pull the dust cover back on, bundle our wire all up and we can stick it to the side of our trunk where it's out of the way and it's also out of the elements, so we don't have to worry about weather contaminating and causing corrosion inside our wiring harness. This is what our wiring harness consists of. We have our connector here, which will plug into the factory tow package on our vehicle and then a ground wire here, which will attach to the vehicle's body with a self tapping screw. more
