Recommended Brake Controller and Wiring for the 1996 Toyota T100 Pickup SR5 4x4 Pickup Truck
Question:
Hi, Can you direct me to the kit for wiring a 1996 Toyota T100 to 7 wire for a camper with electric brakes and recommend a brake controller? Am I missing anything else? 1996 T100 4x4 SR5 no previous towing or wiring.

The brake controller I recommend for your 1996 Toyota T100 SR5 pickup truck is the Prodigy P3 # 90195. It has a customizable LCD display, several boost settings, storable settings and the ability to transfer between vehicles if you so desire. Also, The intensity with which your trailer brakes are activated and the rate at which they are applied are dependent on the deceleration of your 1996 Toyota T100 pickup.
Since you don't have a 7-way plug at the back of your vehicle, I recommend installation kit # ETBC7. Designed for use on a vehicle with an existing 4-way flat trailer connector. If you need a 4-way trailer connector, go with Tow-Ready custom fit wiring # 118496.
Dielectric grease such as # 11755 is a great investment because it protects your electrical connections from corrosion from water damage.
I have included several FAQ's and installation videos for you too.
