The best place to confirm a vehicle's rated towing capacity, or to find out if it even has one, is the owner's manual. Since equipment can vary between versions of a vehicle sometimes the towing/cargo weight capacities may also differ. If you cannot find a definitive statement in your owners manual then you may want to speak to your local dealership, giving them your car's VIN number. This way your specific vehicle's capacity can be confirmed absolutely.

Do please note that all of the aftermarket trailer hitches offered for your 2010 Accent are light-duty Class I types that share a maximum towing capacity of 2000-lbs. Please see the link at right. This does NOT necessarily mean that your Accent has the same capacity; it could be more, or more likely, less than the hitch's rating. Foe example, if you have a 3-door hatchback you can use Draw-Tite # 24795.

Also, just because a hitch is offered for a given vehicle that does NOT mean that the car has any tow rating at all. Hitches can be produced for a vehicle that cannot tow to allow it to carry a bike rack, for example.

My online research did not reveal any official rated towing capacity for your vehicle so before towing anything with it confirm with your manual or dealership that it has a tow rating.
