Troubleshooting a Brake Controller Install that Manual Override Lever Activates Interior Fan
Question:
2011 Ford ranger When I depress the manual override on the primus iq with my truck off and key in my pocket, my rangers cabin air fan turns on... I have not yet connected a trailer and it says nc on the display when I depress the manual control or just a dot when I do not tamper with it. Is this normal? Cheers

It sounds like you have attached the brake output circuit of your Tekonsha Primus IQ Trailer Brake Controller # TK90160 to the wrong circuit. Hitting the manual override should not activate any interior fans.
The blue wire from the controller should be run to the brake output circuit of the 7-way that is at the rear of your vehicle.
I attached a couple helpful FAQ articles to the right for you to check out as well as an install video that shows how to install a brake controller in a 2011 Ford Ranger just like yours.
