There are 2 Curt trailer hitches (Class-II and III) that will work with your 2013 Toyota RAV4. The most popular, and my recommendation is the Curt trailer hitch is the Class-III 2-inch receiver # C13149. It has a tongue weight capacity of 525 pounds, and allows for more versatility for additional cargo needs.

The second option is the Class-II 1-1/4 inch receiver Curt trailer hitch # C12108. It has a maximum tongue weight capacity of 350 pounds. On this Class-II inch hitch, all non-trailer loads - bike racks, cargo carriers and so forth, should be supported with stabilizing straps. Failure to properly support these loads will void your hitch warranty from Curt. The support strap # 18050 will work fine.

There are a couple options to consider here and in my opinion I recommend going with a Class-III trailer hitch. It provides you more versatility for more gear to be carried or towed. You wouldn't need a support strap on Class-III trailer hitches.

Please note that these 2 trailer hitches will not work with Toyota RAV EV models.

Since you mentioned you will be carrying bicycles we do carry hitch bike racks. I have linked a page that will provide multiple bike racks that works with 1-1/4 and 2-inch receivers.

I recommend our Thule Camber # TH9058. It can carry 2 bikes and has a quick release lever to fold down the rack. The weight capacity is 70 pounds. The Thule bike adapter # TH982XT is great because it allows you to transport your alternative frame, child's or woman's bike with ease.

The Swagman Trailhead rack # S63360 you referenced will also work great. If you need an adapter bar, I recommend the Yakima adapter bar # Y02531. It attaches quickly and easily between your handlebars and seat post to form a sturdy, horizontal bar, which makes the bike compatible with most hitch mounted carriers.

The Swagman Trailhead # S63360 is a good, mid-priced option that provides sturdy rubber straps and anti-sway cradles to hold the bikes tightly. It will fit Class I-II hitches.

I have attached a link to multiple hitch bike racks, FAQ, installation instructions and videos for you as well.
