Locating Power Wire Under Hood of 2010 Chevy Silverado to Install Brake Controller
Question:
I have a 2009 chevy silverado I want to buy and install a break controller from you, I have watched the videos but i have one wire missing it is the wire under the hood the one between the fuse box and the finder, so if I run a wire where do i connect it at both ends from where to where

If you can't find the wire between the distribution box and the fender, it might be installed already. Check the post on the front of the distribution box, shown in the photo I provided.
If the wire is attached, the tow package power wire under the dash should be active already. If it's not, you can use a length of 10 gauge wire like 10-1-1. Use a ring terminal like # 44-5356A on one end, and the other end would go through the firewall to attach to the black wire on the brake controller. Attach the ring terminal to the left hand post and secure it with an M6 nut, part # 185916.
