The diagram on our wiring page, which you were on, shows the typical wiring for a trailer no matter the style of connector. If you have a 7-Way connector on your Ford and are trying wire the gooseneck to match the truck there are photos farther down on the page to show where each connection should be made inside the 7-way connector, item # PK12706, for the trailer end. There are also diagrams for the 6-Way connectors. If your trailer has alternate wire colors then you will need to use a circuit tester, item # PTW2993, and label each wire on the trailer before connecting them inside the connector.

If you need to go from a 7-Way connector on the Ford to a 6-Way connector on the trailer then you can use an adapter, item # 47549, which is setup with the center pole as the hot wire and can be changed if needed.
