Hitch & Ball Mount for a 2013 Ford F-250 with 10-Inch Suspension Lift & 40-Inch Tires
Question:
I need the whole setup...w/2ball...I have a 2013 Ford F250 superduty...with a 10inch lift and rolling on 40inch tires...i believe this hitch will give me enough ?...can you give me a quote on this ... Hey Chris thanx for the quick response. ..I will not be towing anything major like heavy equipment. ..I have a 27' boat....a 32' closed trailer that holds all my bikes and 4 wheelers....so nothing real major..but I would like to be able to ...if needed...total weight of boat is around 3200...tongue weight is minimal. .if can lift it by hand the way it sits on the trailer....now my toy hauler is a bumper pull and it carries a Lil weight...can am 1500 lbs..two 4 wheelers at 700 lbs each...and three bikes at 400 lbs each...so that's 4100 lbs..+ tool boxes and parts...no more than 7000 lbs. ...trailer weighs 2800...so this is roughly what I will be pulling.....I would like to be able to use this hitch to pull at least 15k....ok..if I missed anything get back with me....I'm Sending a few pics of my truck .......these are the only ones I have on my phone right now...as I am overseas. .and can't take any at the moment. ..also..I would like it to be adjustable. 2.5 inch receiver.

Since your 2013 Ford F-250 Super Duty has an impressive lift in the suspension and 40 inch tires, the towing capacity will decrease to an unknown value.
The hitch height measurement you provided, 33-inches from the top of the receiver tube to the ground, is too great a height to be compensated for by a ball mount with drop. The most drop available from a 2-1/2-inch Class-V hitch is 10-inches such as # DTALBM7025 (please see link at right). This means your trailer coupler's height would have to be approximately 23-inches in order for the trailer to remain level when hitched. Simply, the unusual geometry of your vehicle makes routine towing quite a challenge.
I contacted Ford with the lift specs you provided to determine the resulting towing capacity but they stated there is no way to tell the truck's towing capacity with those aftermarket suspension modifications. I would recommend contacting the manufacturer of the lift kit to find out if they have determined the towing capacity of your truck after such modifications are implemented.
