Trailer Hitch Extender Recommendation for 2014 Jeep Cherokee Limited with Cargo Carrier
Question:
The video for the 13172 showed this as 5inch but my existing cargo carrier needs 4inch or less when folded to the vertical position from the pin hole. This is a 2014 jeep Cherokee limited 4x4.

According to the measurements taken when installing the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver, # C13172, on a 2014 Jeep Cherokee, there is 5 inches from the hitch pin hole to the outer most edge of the bumper. I have attached a picture that illustrates this measurement.
In order to increase the clearance for your existing cargo carrier, you could use a hitch extender like the # HE06. Please keep in mind that using an extender decreases the weight capacity of the hitch by 50% and you could experience some additional bounce of the carrier when it is mounted on the back of your Cherokee Limited.
