Can a 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch be Install on a 2008 F450 Western Hauler
Question:
trail kit you recommend for my F450 Weatern Hauler 2008 is still 10.8 inches longer than the 31 3/8 space my truck has to install the rails. Do you have any other suggestion???

Since you will not be able to install regular above the bed 5th wheel rails on your 2008 F450 Western Hauler you will have to have a custom 5th wheel installation using the low profile hitch # RP30054.
This hitch requires a custom professional installation since it requires welding a steel plate to the frame. I have included a link to the installation instructions for you to view.
The issue is that there are no rails that are short enough for the 31-3/8 inch space and you cannot modify the rails because they bolt on at the ends. Shortening them will remove those mounting locations. It will also make the rails unsafe for use.
