Hitch Availability for 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe for Towing Rental Trailer
Question:
I have a Hyundai Santa Fe 2004 and I am moving and need to get a hitch put on that will allow me to pull a rental trailer behind me. How much would a hitch and instlation cost? Thanks

We offer several medium-duty 2-inch Class III trailer hitch receivers for your 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe. All can be seen on the link at right, and I suggest the most cost-effective of the three, part # C13505 from Curt. Many customers do their hitch installation themselves, but most local auto repair or muffler shops will do the install for a modest fee. An installation video and the written instructions are linked also, along with two helpful articles concerning hitch installation.
I suggest ball mount kit # 989900 which includes all the additional mechanical components you'll need to hitch the rental trailer.
You'll also need a wiring harness to operate the lights on the trailer. Part # 118473 from Tow Ready is a simple plug-in installation that requires no cutting or splicing of wires. A video is included for this item as well.
Last, I have linked an article with general guidance for how to tow a trailer.
