Will the etrailer.com Cargo Carrier Fit On a Chevy Tahoe When Folded

Will this work on a Chevy Tahoe and will it fold up?

Expert Reply:
The etrailer.com Cargo Carrier, item # e98874, will fit in the 2 inch receiver of the Chevy Tahoe. To determine if the carrier will fold when installed you will need to measure. I like to use a 2X4 or some other long straight item and place it against the farthest out part of the vehicle and hold it plumb (level).
Once this is done you can measure the distance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the closest edge of the 2X4. If this measurement is less than 9-1/2 inches then there is room for the carrier to fold when on your vehicle. Most likely the carrier will work on your vehicle but you need to measure to be sure.
