Does Replacement Thule T3 Bike Rack Cradle Require More than One Strap
Question:
have a expressway 995 thule rack with old style cradle and connected strap. i get that i have to order one 753-3535 strap and one 853-5829 cradle to replace the old one. it appears that the 853-5829 cradle has two knobs per side to accept the 753-3535 strap. my question is do you need two straps per cradle or do they just have two knobs for a different reason. ?

Expert Reply:
You will only need one strap, # 753-3535, per T3 cradle, # 853-5829. There are two knobs on just one side of this cradle. It allows you to secure the strap to either knob; whichever allows you to secure the bike the best.
