Installed 7-Way and 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee Dealer Reprogrammed But No Brake Lights/Turn Signals

Question:

The jeep came with the tow wiring installed to a connector to the back of the jeep which has 7 pins. I bought a brake module wiring, receptacle and installed them. today I went to the dealing and they enabled the tow lights in the computer. I have everything except brake lights and turn signal. I do not have any power to the receptacle on the vehicle side. Is there something unplugged that I cannot find? I also do not have access to electrical prints for another year.

If your 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee did not come with a factory installed 7-Way then if you plug one into the wiring at the back of the Jeep the 7-Way would not function. Like you already did, you would go to the dealer and have them reprogram the computer to get the newly installed 7-Way to function.

If everything was installed properly then it should work. If not then they may have made a mistake in the reprogramming process. Or, it could be that there is a fuses or fuses or even relays that are needed to make it fully functional. You will need to consult the vehicle owners manual for all of the fuse and/or relay locations related to the tow package wiring.
