Installing Primus IQ on 1995 F150 using 3035-P Harness
Question:
The instructions that came with my controller said that 1989-91 Ford E and F series trucks and vans w/ anti-lock - do not connect to StopLight switch, splice into light green wire on turn signal harness. It also says that Ford added a wire to the stoplight switch on late model trucks starting in 1998. This wire is red with green stripe and is only hot when the brake pedal is depressed. When the pedal is not depressed this wire goes directly to ground. My truck came with a factory 7way and a 6-pin under the dash. When I connected 3035-P, I read the signals on the brake controller end and noticed that the red stoplight wire has a ground on it when brake is not pressed. When I press the brake, this wire has +12VDC on it. Although my truck is outside of the year models in the warnings on the installation instructions, it still appears I may have issues. I have not tried plugged in my controller b/c I dont want to damage it. Thanks for any advice or direction you can provide.

You should be totally fine. If the red wire of the harness only sees 12 volts when the brakes are applied, the black wire has 12 volts all the time, the white wire grounds and the blue wire runs back to the factory 7-way of your 1995 Ford F150 then you would be good to go.
The # 3035-P harness is the correct harness to use to install a controller in your vehicle. I attached an install video for you to check out.
