Ramp Spring Recommendation for a 2002 Range Renegade Enclosed Aluminum Snowmobile Trailer
Question:
The door measures 93inch x 55, and is NOT too heavy to be lifted by one man however, it is likely all that one man wants to grab onto. The pre-mounted spring mount/ears inside the top of the rear door measure approximately 85-3/4inch apart. Do you have a torsion spring assembly that will work on this door? Each ear is pre-tapped with 2-holes for mounting. Please advise.

I have a solution for you, but it won't work with the spring mounts you currently have on your trailer. I would recommend the Enclosed Trailer Ramp Spring # CB250D96SHD. This is a 96 inch wide spring with a 250 lb capacity that is wider than the spring you recommended that should better match your door ramp width that should do well for you but it will require you mounting it directly to your trailer and not use the mounting brackets you already have.
The installation instructions for this product are recommended for individuals who have experience winding torsion springs. If you have not worked with a torsion spring system before, we recommend contacting a local garage door company to install this system.
