Hitch Plate That Doesn't Need Lubrication So We Don't Have to Grease Hitch Everyday That We Pull RV
Question:
Is there a self lubricating 5th wheel hitch? We have the sliding hitch to accommodate a short bed pickup.....but we have to grease the hitch everyday that we pull the rv. I thought I heard about a teflon hitch plate that does not need lubrication?????

It sounds like a lube plate may work for you. A lube plate lets the trailer king pin slide into the hitch with ease. There is no need for grease and it also helps prevents scratches on the skid plate of your 5th wheel trailer hitch.
Reese offers the 10 inch lube plate, # RP83002, and it works with the Reese 16,000 pound and 22,000 pound fifth wheel hitches.
A 12 inch lube plate, # RP83001, is also available and works with Reese 20,000 pound and Elite or Signature Series fifth wheel hitches.
Although manufactured for use with the Reese hitch, these lube plates are pretty universal and will work with most fifth wheel hitches.
