Recommended Universal Camper Tie-Downs for 1979 Dodge Pickup
Question:
Hello, I was looking into your universal camper tie downs but wanted to get your opinion. I have a 1979 Dodge W200 long bed, 3/4 ton. I have purchased a camper and looking for your suggestion as to what camper tie down part # and turnbuckles I should purchase. Please feel free to contact me with any questions as I am not well educated on campers. Thank you for your time.

The Brophy Camper Hold Downs, part # HSSF, which you reference, are a universal fit item and will work on most full-sized trucks, so they should work well with your pickup. Some dual rear wheel beds and bed liners that block the top edge of the side rails can cause a problem with the installation of these hold downs. These hold downs wrap around the bed rails and are mounted inside the bed under the side rails.
These tie downs do not have a weight capacity limit and will work for any camper that is designed to fit your truck bed.
I have included a link to a video review and the instructions for you. I have also attached a photo showing a camper hold down installed on a truck bed side rail.
The hold downs will come with hardware for mounting the brackets to your truck, but you will also need the Brophy Camper Tie Down Hardware Package, part # TDHP. This package will contain the hardware that will attach the camper to the brackets.
