Fit of Draw-Tite Class IV # 41936 Trailer Hitch on 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 Mega Cab
Question:
Will hitch 41936 fit on a 2008 quad cab 1/2 ton regular box? Says cab and chassis

Expert Reply:
For a Class IV hitch, I'd recommend the Draw-Tite # 41929. The Draw-Tite Class IV hitch you referred to, part # 41936 is a fit for cab and chassis trucks only. Cab and chassis trucks have a narrower frame than the regular truck models do, and therefore the hitch wouldn't fit your truck. I've linked you to the installation instructions.
For a 12K rated ballmount, I'd recommend # 4281. For a 12K rated 2-5/16 inch ball, use # 19286 or # A-90 for a 2 inch ball.
