How to Install the Replacement Rubber Strap For Thule T3 Bike Rack Cradles
Question:
I purchased replacement straps and need to remove the cable lock. How does the cable lock get removed? There appears to be a permanent fastener holding the cable in place.

Expert Reply:
Installation of the T3 cradle replacement strap is pretty straight forward. You will need to remove the end cap from the end of the bike support arm, a Phillips screw typically holds the cap in place.
Next use a small amount of soap and water to help the cradles, # 853-5829, slide off easily. Once you have the cradles off installation is just the reverse, orient the strap, cradle and anti sway bracket, if needed, together and then slide them on to the correct position.
