Question:
I was looking for a hitch for my A3. Do you install it? Im located in Austin. How much is the installation cost?

For the 2010 Audi A3 you can use Curt hitch # C11192. We do perform installations at our headquarters in Wentzville, Missouri. Since you live in Austin it is probably better to take the hitch to a trusted mechanic or and RV dealer that has a service center. You would want to ask about labor costs when getting quotes.
I have included a link to the installation details for you and a link to a video showing installation.
If you want to do some towing please consult the vehicle owners manual first. The proper ball mount for this hitch and vehicle is # C45520. For a 1-7/8 inch ball use # 19256 and for a 2 inch use # 19258. And for trailer wiring use # C59496. I have linked the wiring instructions as well.
If you will be using the hitch for accessories like a bike rack or cargo carrier then Curt states that you must use stabilization strap # 18050 for their warranty requirements.
