Could You Put Nitrogen In Firestone Ride Rite Bags
Question:
I am wondering if you could put nitrogen into the ride rite air bags? Would the nitrogen be better for decreasing inflation loss?

Expert Reply:
Some people do use nitrogen in their air bag systems like the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs # F2430. They typically do it so they can use a nitrogen tank instead of a compressor to quickly inflate the bags without having to wait for a compressor to pump the bags up. A lot of low rider type vehicle use the nitrogen tanks.
A properly installed Ride Rite system should not see any noticeable inflation loss with air or nitrogen, so if its for that reason you wouldn't be any better off.
