Availability of Large, Waterproof Cargo Bag for 2014 Honda CR-V with Factory Rails

Question:

Dear Sir, Could you please help me choose the best suitable large cargo bag to be placed on the roof of a RCV Honda 2014. The Honda dealer already installed the roof racks. The rails have a width of 40 ½ inches, they are parallel to each other, and the distance between the front and back horizontal bars is 29 inches. The distance from the front horizontal bar to where the open moon roof is 6 inches, which I do not believe it matters as it should not interfere neither do I have to use it. As you advertise, I would like it to be of soft good waterproof material, reinforced for durability and strength, with ultraviolet protection if available double seams sewn, zippers that protect the water from getting in, etc. I would also like to have some locking device for security, and it to be pliable for easier storage. I would very much appreciate your answer and any other recommendation to complement the cargo bag, including any suggestion or tips for handling it. Thank you for your help.

I recommend the Rightline Sport 3 XL Rooftop Cargo Bag # RL100S30. This bag is waterproof to keep your cargo clean and dry and has UV ray protection. The bag has a corrosion-resistant zipper built into the underside of a protective flap to keep water out, while the flap secures shut with Velcro closures.

The bag attaches to your rails using the 4 included straps.

A couple things to keep in mind when using a rooftop cargo bag - first, check your owner's manual for the weight capacity for your roof and, second, do not fill the carrier heavier than your vehicle's weight capacity rating.

The pad protects your roof from scratches and keeps the cargo bag from potentially sliding during braking and acceleration while driving.
