Is There an Alternative To Having a Door Holder With a Prop Rod That Flops Around When Not Used?
Question:
First off, I REALLY like the little videos you all provide. That’s a big deal for me. I’m looking at the T style hook and keeper. My question is, assuming I attached the hook to the RV wall in the keeper to the door, what happens when you drive? Does the hook flap around in the wind? It’s probably less of an issue if the hook is plastic, but I’m wondering what do I do to keep that thing from flapping around? Thanks, and keep up the good work!

The T-Style Hook and Keeper Door Holder # 37210482 you found actually allows you to remove the rod when not being used. The door side and RV have openings which allow you to completely remove the rod. On other units like the # 37210444B the rod will stay on the RV side attachment point and there is nothing to prevent it from flapping around in the wind.
Depending on how close your door sits to the RV when open you might consider a magnet setup like the # OBE57FR. This has a 1-1/2" tall magnet so you do not have to worry about loosing the connecting rod or it flopping around or getting broke.
