Back Up Docking Lights for a 2007 Chevy Silverado Z71 for Hitching Up to a Trailer at Night
Question:
Will my 2007 Chevy 1500 Silverado Crew Cab Z71 4x4 be able to handle the electrical draw of a pair of Bully #PL-807 Back up lights? The area I live at when it gets dark it gets dark so its difficult to back up and hook up my trailer. So I need bright lights that can handle the rough terrain and light up my path when I back up. Also, how would I connect the pair to the Chevy correctly? If you have a better recommendation for back up lights for rough terrain please let me know. Thank you for your time!

The Bully Bumper Mount Backup Light, # PL-807, uses a 55 watt H3 halogen bulb so the power draw is just about the same as a single headlight. But the light comes with its own wiring that you could run to a switch, # D16740, and connect the lights directly to the battery.
Or, even better, get a light kit, # DL-16CC (35 watts), that comes with everything you will need.
Or if you want to go the stealth route, you can use a back up camera with night vision, # 04928. It costs more but let's face it, night vision is awesome.
