I, too, drive a manual PT Cruiser! There are 5 items needed to flat tow a vehicle: base plates, tow bar, safety cables, lighting, and supplemental braking.
For base plates you can use # 278-1. These base plates are compatible with your Stowmaster tow bar. For safety cables I recommend # RM-643. The coiled design helps keep the cables off of the ground.
For lighting, if you will not be towing the vehicle very often, I reocmmend a magnetic light kit, # RM-2120. For a more permanent solution you can use bulb and socket kit # RM-155.
And finally, most states now require supplemental braking on the vehicle being flat towed. One of the easiest systems to set up and use is the Even Brake proportional system, # RM-9400. It will apply the PT Cruiser brakes in proportion to how much the RV is braking. This is the safest way to stop and it reduces wear and tear on both vehicles.
Be sure to consult the PT Cruiser owners manual for specific information on flat towing it. I have also included a couple of helpful links to our series of articles on flat towing for you.
