Recommended Installation Hardware for a Wobble Rollers
Question:
will pal nuts work on wobble rollers
asked by: Josh B
Expert Reply:
The recommended way to secure wobble roller is to use wobble roller retainers like the CE Smith Wobble Roller Retainer Ring # CE10981. The part # CE10981, can be used for 1-1/8 inch shaft size and 3/4-inch shaft size.
You will slide the wobble roller onto the shaft then use the correct size washer for the size shaft you have. Then, you will put the retainer ring around the shaft and squeeze the open ends of the ring around the shaft til it holds the washer and roller to the shaft, but will still allow the roller to spin freely.
Using pal nuts like the part # CE10801 that you referenced would not be the recommended way for installing the wobble rollers so I cannot safely recommend you do so.
