Replacement Leaf Spring for a 2011 Forest River Rockwood 1940LTD
Question:
Hello, my 2011 Rockwood 1940LTD needs to have the leaf springs replaced as they are sagging. Currently there are two leafs in each spring. They measure 28 inches bolt to bolt. What do you have to replace these with? Thank you

Thanks for the picture and the measurement! If you measured your suspension with the trailer sitting on the ground the springs have stretched with the years of use and won't be 28" long. You're probably going to be closer to 27" which means you'll need the 4-Leaf Double-Eye Spring for 3,500-lb Trailer Axles item # e97SR or even 26" which you'd replace with the item # e77SR.
To get an accurate measurement of the eye to eye distance you will want to jack up one side of your Rockwood trailer and remeasure from eye to eye. If you come up with a different measurement please feel free to email me directly or comment below and I would be happy to make a specific recommendation.
