Hey Rick, the correct replacement hinge you need is the Replacement Dual Force Strut, # TH14933 for your Thule Mountaineer cargo box.

The difference between the Thule hinges or struts #TH14936 and #TH14933 is the spring tension. Both of these hinges will work for your Sears X Cargo Sport 20 lid. However, the #TH14936 includes better springs.
