Hi Michael,

To replace your Suburban SW6 DE water heater you'll want the Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater # FR98SR. This tankless water heater is one of the most efficient units on the market, producing up 144 gallons of hot water per hour. The dimensions I'm seeing for your Suburban show it being roughly 12-3/4" tall by 12-3/4" wide so the # FR98SR with its 16" x 16" door would be a great fit.

During the installation you're going to want to use some butyl tape # AL28FJ on the back side of the mounting flanges for both the door and unit. When mounted in place you can then use some non-sag sealant # 344270341437-1 around to outer trim edge of the access door for a waterproof seal.

Trying to avoid having to cut into the camper. With it being 16x16 will I have to widen the current hole?

@Mike The Furrion # FR98SR is 12-5/8" wide x 12-5/8" tall and the access door is larger to cover any gaps. the mounting flange will take up the difference and sit flat against trailer wall. You should have a tiny gap between the cutout hole and new Furrion unit compared to the old Suburban unit. The mounting flange of the unit should cover the gap, but you'll want to use butyl tape # AL28FJ to ensure no water can get between it and the wall.
