Since the light for the Demco Air Force One Flat Tow Brake System # SM99243 is designed to always come on when the brake pedal is used it will always come on while you are not connected to the motorhome since it draws power from the battery on your truck. You may be able to relocate the light on your truck where it is not a distraction or we do offer the Wireless Coacklink Monitor # SM99945 you can use instead of the light. Otherwise you would have to put a switch in line of the power or ground wire on the light that you will need to manually turn on/off when you connect and disconnect to flat tow.

That’s odd because it never used to come on unless I was towing it with the Motorhome.

@KeithS Then that I am not sure of. Was there anything that was changed on your truck recently before you noticed the issue? It is possible whomever installed it originally wired it for power off of the motorhome only previously.

@BudM Not that I’m aware of. Do you have a wiring diagram that I can troubleshoot it?

@KeithS The instructions for the Air Force One are linked near the bottom of the page. This will have the different wiring diagrams as well as additional information on the parts.
