Functions of 4-Way Wiring on Trailer and Vehicle

I have wires from trailer: Green yellow brown and brown/yellow Then the car has white brown yellow green

The wiring on your car is going to match the standard 4-way functions by color.
Green: Right turn/brake light
Yellow: Left turn/brake light
Brown: Tail/running lights
White: Ground wire
On the trailer side I wouldn't trust the wire colors. Unfortunately, colors don't always correspond to the function you think they would. The best thing to do is trace those back so you know what the function actually is and you can match that up on your trailer side connector.
