That is a great question and in order for both of us to find the answer you're going to need to use a digital caliper like item # PTW80157 to take an accurate measurement of your Ranger trailer's hub's bore. There's no database I can look at that will tell me what's on a trailer made recently let alone one from 1989 so I am sorry I can't just give you a part number.

The Bearing Buddy Bearing Protectors item # BB2441 are designed to fit 2.441" hub bores, which are commonly found on 4,400 lbs, 5,200 lbs, 6,000 lbs and 7,000 lbs Dexter axles so this is probably not what you are going to need.

Most likely you are going to be in the range of the Bearing Buddy Bearing Protectors item # BB2328SS. These fit a hub bore of 2.328".

If you would like to email me back after you take a measurement or post a comment below I would be more then happy to find you the correct part number! Hope to hear from you!
